>adopting stray cat
how does this work? i've seen comments of people saying this. do they just find a cat outside and take it home?
>>
>>5105736
Yeah. You find a friendly cat, pick it up, and carry it home.
>>
>>5105736
My current cat was a stray. I fed him and he let himself into my apartment. He's an indoor cat now but I take him outside on his leash or in a backpack.
>>
>>5105736
That’s exactly how it works. Kot is kot no matter if you pick it up off the street, a shelter, or a pet store.
>>
>>5105740
how do you know you're not stealing someone's cat?
>>
>>5105743
Finders keepers
>>
>>5105736
I have NEVER bought a cat, they literally just walk in.
I'll ask my neighbors if they lost one, but no, never.
Cats spawn like a video game.
>>
>>5105743
well it's just a cat, nobody really cares

remember the china videos last year
>>
>>5105743
>how do you know you're not stealing someone's cat?
You look for a collar.

>>5105762
This, they just sort of show up. Perhaps there is something to the old theory of 'spontaneous generation'
>>
>>5105762
dont you get too many cats after a while if cats keep coming in?
>>
>>5105796
I always stop at two, and they have to get along with my doggie.
>>
>>5105736
Yes, pet stores don't want you to know this but cats are free
>>
>>5105743
If it was their cat it 1: wouldnt be outside 2: would have a lost cat ad up.

If it has a collar its not even necessarily their cat. Call from a pay phone and if they say he’s always out and to let him go, keep the cat. Outdoor cat “people” are animal abusers and disease spreaders.
>>
>>5105807
Where are you gonna find a pay phone
>>
>>5105736
the elites don't want you to know this but the cats on the street are free, you can just take them.
>>
>>5105743
Because he wasn't collared or chipped. Also he was underweight, had fleas, a severe ear infection, and an abscess from scratching his ears. If he did belong yo someone they were doing fuck all to take care of him.
>>
>>5105743
If the cat is outside unsupervised and without a chip or collar it belongs to nobody.
>>
>>5105807
>pay phone
LMAO haven't seen one of those in a decade

They just get another cat or steal it back.

You 'own' an outdoor cat the same way you 'own' outdoor furniture, It's a dick move to take it but it's not really the end of the world.
>>
>>5105873
We still have them in philly
>>
if you're unsure you can take care of a cat, just build an outside shelter with like a old rubbermaid bin...plenty people do it in my city

feed it scraps every now and then and see if it wants to truly stick around

It works just like wallets or laptops really, if you see one unattended you can just take it
>>
>>5107322
You get arrested for stealing wallets
>>
>>5105807
You desperately need to kill yourself

Why do cat people so fervently defend letting cats roam? Are the parasites controlling you to make you spread their “gifts”?
>>
>>5106333

grisp him
>>
>>5105736
I see videos of women adopting pets while traveling to other countries, but they keep saying it's a hassle to bring them home, like wtf? Just get a crate and bring them on the plane
>>
better off just going to a shelter during kitten season
the younger you socialize them the less behavioral issues that'll drive you crazy in the long-term
>>
>>5105743
If a cat has a home and is just trying to get fed multiple times a day by different people they will leave (this might be my of a britbong/EU thing).

>>
>>5107319
outdoor cats are like outdoor furniture, you sit on both of them on your porch
>>
>>5105736
Why not, cats are the Cutest?
(So as dogs)
>>
>>5105736
Cat comes to your house, and after a period of observation, he will decide if you are a suitable human and stays permanently
>>
>>5109664
Thats a funny joke

Cat comes to your house, you shut the door and start feeding it excessively for a short period so it doesnt want to leave. Feliway, melatonin, catnip, are not off the table. Its your cat now. Cats are subservient slave animals born to be controlled by humans.

Dogs on the other hand choose. Make the choice for them and get your walls eaten.
>>
>>5109708
Too bad you don't have a service dog to remind you to take your meds
>>
>>5109664
just infantilizing the fact that there are millions of stray cats that catfags will not address in any effective manner (tnr is a meme) driven to desperation via resource competition to turn up at your door
but no it's just epic cat wisdom choosing a human xDD

>do they just find a cat outside and take it home?
Yes.
The current one, rode to the shop I work at in a tractor. Guy who owned the tractor had no idea where it came from, so I took her home.
She's a good cat.
>>
There is a walking track near my house which I walk the dog at. On two separate occasions we have found stray cats.

People just abandon cats, and nobody will stop you from taking them.
>>
6 years ago, my friend found a litter of kittens outside his apartment, waited until they were old enough to eat solid foods, then went out and took them. 3 males and 1 female. He said I'd like the female one because she's weird. He was right, she was weird in the cutest ways. I took her home the next day and here we are, I just woke up an hour ago and we've been playing with her favorite fish toy the whole time.
>>
>>5105743
If it doesn't have a chip or a collar.
My mother and stepdad almost adopted a stray they found, but when they took her to the vet for a checkup they checked for a chip and it turned out she had owners and was reported missing. Original owners were super thankful but I hope they don't fucking lose her again. I'm not even a cat person and she was a little sweetheart.
>>
>>5109722
She's cute!
>>5110046
She's cute too!
>>
Outdoor cats are free, you can just take them
>>
>>5105763
Some family stole our cat when I was a kid and they wouldn't give it back. Their son has since become a tranny so I think we won in the end.

This guy is a jeet.

>Cats spawn like a video game.
My ex-gf strongly believed that cats pop up in places where people need help the most. She thought they were some sort of "negative energy sponges" or something.
