What are some animal related sayings or proverbs?One of my favorites in English is a "wild goose chase." Basically when you try to do something that will never have any results, you're on a wild goose chase.In Finnish language there is "karhunpalvelus" which when translated means "a service of a bear." The service of a bear is when your intention is to help someone but by doing so you end up harming them. Suppsedly that comes from an old French fable.
