i don't understand, it makes perfect sense for sauropods to have been amphibious. all the mental gymnastics that paleontologists make to justify their gigantic bulk, how their bones could support their bodies, how the blood could be pumped up their heads, and how they managed to constantly eat could be explained by the simple fact that they lived neck deep into water. so where's the proof that they were exclusively earthbound canopy grazers? this isn't just a "gotcha" stunt by younger researchers instantly labeling old theories as antediluvian crap, right?

if they were water bound, they would have eventually evolved fins instead of legs and shrunk in size etc. which is what has happened to some other dinosaurs. these guys clearly remained land animals.
