just found this little african faggot plant called the stinknet in the arizonan desert near me for the first time, FUCK these little pieces of shit
>horribly allergenic
>emit noxious fumes when burnt
>reproduce in insane numbers

thank fuck it was only the one stupid little shit growing (for now, at least), they've already overrun phoenix
>>

You are the type of faggot who would be standing on the Bering strait 10,000 years ago trying to stop animals from crossing
>>
>>5109946
>bro just let the plants come over and do what they want, why do you care so much?
>bro just let the brown people come into your country, why do you care so much?

I don't hold animals and plants to the same standards as humans. They're just organisms trying to survive. "Invasive" species are more often than not a symptom of a wider scale issue such as pollution, fertilizer runoff, lack of predators, bad land management practices, etc. You can dump as much cancer causing herbicide as you want but you are never going to solve the actual problem.

the occupation of the Americas by humans coming through the Bering strait wasn't anything industrial or due to economical reasons, therefore the animals and plants they they directly and indirectly brought along didn't turn to be that much of a treat to the native biodiversity and its species richness. Anything similar since the industrial era is problematic because there are several and continuous influxes of non-natives
In that scenario it's a great great treat to the biodiversity

Hot take: every invasive species will become native at one point. We have the problem with Canadian and Chinese goldenrod that makes everyone freak out; HOWEVER, over the past two years, at least in my area, the native shrubs and flowers adapted to the newcomer and put out more growth and I think I saw a carpenter bee cutting a piece from one of the goldenrod's leaves.
At some point, a fungus, virus, some insect or bird will show a mutation that makes them either eat the seeds, process the fiber or use it in some other way, it was the same with a random invasive beetle that everyone shat their pants over. It devastated boxwood until birds figured out that they can eat them. Ffw five years and no one cares about the bug anymore as its numbers have been massively reduced.

>TL;DR: Life, uh... finds a way
>>
Invasive lionfish are scouring the gulf of mexico right now
>no natural predators
>eat voraciously
But at least they're easy to hunt if you can dive and they're tasty.
>>

Have you personally seen that with your own two eyes or are you going by sensationalist media and fear mongering scientists who want more gibs for their research?

there is your place, you retard moron cretin loser

>no actual rebuttal
Typical
>>
>>5110560
Here's a rebuttal for you. Nobody is going to argue with you here because you don't want to change your opinion. You don't want to talk earnestly about this because you've made up your mind and will not change it no matter how much evidence gets posted. So fuck off.
>>
>>5110569
Funny that you can't see the irony in your own post.
Why are you getting so heated? Because I am against your wanton socially acceptable animal abuse?
I have plenty of evidence to disprove the myth of "muh invasive species are destroying the world!" but emotional faggots like you don't want to hear it
>>
>>5110572
>evidence to disprove the myth of "muh invasive species are destroying the world!
sources for your claims: trust me bro
please end your own miserable life right fucking now!
>>
>>5110573
Don't argue with stupid people. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
>>
>>5110573
Not that I expect you actually read it but a good starting point is Conservation Sense and Nonsense. I have a lot more but I'm not going to waste my time if you don't want to have an actual discussion.

Epic reddit quote

>Conservation Sense and Nonsense
a book? a scientific journal?
>>
>>5110572
>Why are you getting so heated?
Lol says the incel that started crying about scientists out of nowhere like a woman who can't get over their ex
>>
Just chop and drop them until they die and plant something native in it's place.

>roundhouse kicks you in the face
>throws you out
>claim this home is mine now
Yeah who cares about invasive species lol now go find somewhere else to live ok?
>>
>>5110823
This is what happens when you watch too much disney and think nature has concepts of good and bad
>>
>>5110811
unfortunately fighting back invasive species is way way way way more difficult and complicated then that, anon. It wouldn't be one of the major environmental issues otherwise
>>
My hometown is 80% "invasive." It ain't fun.
>>
>>5110811
bro they are invasive
which means you can't just plant something native in its place, because the invasive plant either
>reproduces faster
>crowds the plants sunshine source or root system
that's why they are dangerous.
we need to nuke china and india a good 2k times for how much they have ruined the american natural plant order.
>>
>>5109940
>emit noxious fumes when burnt
so does your mom
>>
>>5110825
Hylic post. Our intellects are what sets us apart from nature and allows us to exert dominion over it. If we can take steps to preserve what we have without much resources and without disrupting other matters, we should.
>>
>>5111098
Except it has nothing to do with intellect, it's hysterical opinions and disinformation. Invasive ecology isn't fact, it's a business. Monsanto lobbied for laws about noxious weed control. Glyphosate is banned in pretty much every first world country but in the USA it's the #1 tool to deal with "problem" species.
>>
>>5111121
That's all boomer shit. Hopefully with the long-awaited death of their generation the country can start to heal.
