Cat's faces aren't really like on the left, but like on the right. They seem to have a cone of sensory hair extended in front of their face. Discuss.
>>
It's one of those things that people think is weird if you portray it true to the reality.
>>
>>5110258
Yeah, Dogs have those weird whisker eyebrows too but you barely notice them unless light is hitting them as certain way
>>
>>5110258
This is just RETARDED. Cats move their whiskers to the front when they're trying to catch things, idiot. If cats kept their whiskers forwards all the time they would get really tired and no one would like them because it is not so cute. DUH.

Fuckin lying ass bitch
>>
>>5110258
Well it makes sense, whiskers wouldn't be very effective at helping them navigate if they were tucked back
>>
>>5110258
Nonsense, look at this cat.
>>
>>5110258
You are right, I guess them being thin and light makes it hard to see it that way, and hard to have good depth perception about then. So in your mind it just gets simplified to a few lines near the nose.

Yeah, I think most people are aware of this. George Carlin briefly mentioned it in a bit in the early 80s.

I'm glad you like it

Whiskers can be moved forward and baclward. Cats move them forward when inspecting something, hunting or eating because their eyesight up close is poor.
>>
One of my first cats had all his whiskers cute off as a kitten :(
>>
>>5110258
i'm pretty sure they can point them forward or backwards as they feel like it

It's a feature I adore with animals with whiskers or whisker-like appendages. It's utilitarian and interesting but when depicted it's so bizarre and strange. I also love that they are manipulable; seeing a cat push them forward and pull them back is very nice. It makes for great material when animating or for taking inspiration for a drawing or 3d model as well.

Wait till he figures out that it's not just cats
