anyone have a trail camera for catching local critters in action?
i know my local forests fairly well from mountain biking around. wanna catch some pictures & videos from badgers and whatnot, but not too sure where to start
>>
i have the cam part figured out, i got an external battery & a decent tier camera with cellular
guess i'm gonna try putting it on trails that i figure few people travel, lets find out

I have one near my deer stand. I used to live more rurally and kept one in my backyard. I'll see if I can find any of my old pics, lots of good bobcat and fox photos.

Put it near a source of water like a pond or creek

this. Look for water sources, or natural bottlenecks in the terrain--anything that would attract animals (water) or force them to walk in a certain place. Places where it's easiest to cross a creek are idea, like shallow spots or natural bridges. If there's beavers near you then beaver dams often get used as highways by other animals.
