Have you ever had a cat defect to another household? Cause that's what one of mine has basically done
No. My drunkard father has a feral rescue Norwegian Forrest cat that spent 2/3s of the day outdoors and was very poorly socialized. He hates my fathers guts because of how rough he was drunk but adores me silly when I visit. He first got the cat when it was 4, now the cat is around 19. In all that time the cat could have run off to another home as we knew neighbors fed him and loved him to bits, but even when my dad moved house 3 blocks away from the last house the cat stayed with him.If a barely socialized cat, with more affectionate resources around him, tormented by a drunk owner won't run off or defect it makes me raise an eyebrow to when people claim their cat did.
>>5120117My wifes dog actaully did that. Don't feel too bad.
>>5120117How many cat threads do you fuckers need? holy shit you need to be confined to a general with this junk
>>5120117I adopt outdoor cats with canned tuna, acclimate them to the indoors, train them to be afraid of going outside, and eventually adopt them out as indoors only cats. If your cat is orange and had a microchip (had) it might be my latest project
>>5120150Seething anti cat schizo
>>5120150Cat folks arent very good at reading and stuff. Words are dog man magic. Its how they mind control the mutts.
>>5120150this
>>5120150>>5120349>>5120360Obvious samefag
if it's outside it's not your catjust be glad it wasn't hit by a car or eaten by a coyote
>>5120333Keeping a cat indoors is a travesty
>>5120142He comes back sometimes, but he spends most of his time in other houses or outdoors now
>>5120360>>5120349>>5120150obvious differentfags. only a schizo would think otherwise kek
>>5120117It happens. A phase perhaps. Seen a couple males do same and just become neighborhood cats.
>>5120410cats belong indoors. they’re not very smart so they dont care like you think they do. they need to always get to familiar places. its not about freedom. the egyptians truly domesticated the cat and would keep 20+ confined to a temple. its a plausible explanation for how domesticated cats form colonies but wild cats dont. >imagine the smell
>>5120117last year when i went to help clean out my dead grandma's house, a cat walked up and jumped into my car. i took her home and she still lives with me. she's mine now bitches!
>>5120410Is this some kind of psyops shit where you try to convince cat owners to kill their cats because you actually hate cats?
>>5120333"Indoor cat or everyone's cat"The only kind of cat you let go outside is the random stray approaching your shitty new york city apartment that you don't mind losing one dayfriend's family has had cats for generations and always walked them. one time one got away, lost for 3 days; they no longer walk them. even then it's a stupid concept to begin with. Oh, half-assed sort-of outside access? why even entertain it? It's like giving a drunk a single beer "just cause"
>>5120436>>5120778>>5120792Do you guys seriously keep cats indoors at all times? That's gay as fuck and you shouldn't have cats. Cats love going out, hunting and patrolling their territory.
>>5120870If they never go out its not their territory (and they are dumber than chihuahuas so they dont really care)they hunt nothing but birds. in centuries they have unironically made rodents more common (their half eaten bird kills attract them and support their population numbers - rodents breed much faster than cats can eat)Also its actually very normal for many dogs, including breeds you see as friendly like greyhounds and huskies, to eat catsAnd when possible coyotes will make cats 2/3 of their dietIf you truly want to get rid of pests, attract owls (hey, your cat might, but then you won’t have a cat)The average lifespan of an outdoor cat is 4. Not because they all die at 4. But because so many die before 4 that the ones that make it further are significantly outweighed. Ironically dogs are way smarter than cats and actually need to explore or they bark constantly and tear up the house, yet NPCs like you let your cats outside to kill birds and get eaten and keep your dogs cooped up to bark 24/7 while googling shock collar reviews.
>>5120778Yes its anti cat schizo. Most cat owners in the first world (the US) keep them inside. She’s a thirdie from mumbai so she likes seeing cats outside because she knows they’ll probably die horribly and she can steal the expensive ones to pay for more estrogen pills.
>>5120882No I love cats and honestly think they should be let outside. Look at the cat thread I posted about outdoor cats. Don't they look so cute outside?
>>5120879This is kind of bizarre levels of fear. I've never heard of cats getting eaten by dogs(?) and I don't live in a country with coyotes. Everyone lets cats out they like it, they want to go out. Yeah they might die or get injured get over it so do people so does everything . Unless you live in a city or something, maybe I can understand it. I don't and I always see cats outside in people's gardens and such. >>5120882No I don't know who that is. You sound unwell
