I am getting surgery next week to turn into a dog. I sure hope OP adopts me so I get to eat the grain-based dry kibble bits he feeds me and die at the ripe old age of 7 from intestinal complications!

Look I love my dogs but I'm also not lavishing on them like they're my wife. The marginal gain in life brought on by feeding them raw meat is incredibly negligible.

OP, I feed my cats Royal Canin. They used to be taken care of a foster family and holy shit, OP. When they were first given to me their fur was so rough, and they smelled strongly of cigarettes. Once I got them home and on Royal Canin their fur was so smooth and glossy. People will complain about anything. I think a high quality kibble is just fine.
