You can't.At best some birds can be less afraid of you (crows, robbins...) but that's it.Leave food and make sure they see you. Then leave food and stay around.

Also note that even among seed-eating birds they have preferences. Some birds won't eat some kinds of seeds. Some of this is a size thing--small birds can't eat large nuts--but some of it is just them being picky.
