The jumbo sized vertebrae that gave a result of 24m was proportionately shorter from front to back than the vertebrae from the more complete fossil. This means that scaling up diameter won't give accurate results.
Scaling the front to back length of the vertebrae gives a result of 18-20m instead, being more aligned with the previous maximum length estimates based on tooth measurements.
