Yes but it's kind of stretch of the semantics of what constitutes venom. Like if you ask someone if a human bite is venomous because it contains digestive enzymes and bacteria almost everyone will say "no" because it didn't evolve under some pressure to incapacitate, subdue prey, or provide defense. So "intent of design" is the obstacle in the argument rather than just admitting it's mildly hemorrhagic and digestive which it is. In which case all monitors are.

its not the worst venom around, there are tons of snakes and funky watercreatures that have poison/venom that flatlines anything they touch/touches them within minutes.
komododragons are somewhat worse, because that shit is self made, its not some biococktail mother nature designed for them to be what they are, its just a really foul mouth full of rotting carrion.
and its slow as fuck. they bite something and then watch it for weeks while their prey bleeds out because the wound wont fucking close when they bite you. nasty shits.

Venom and bacteria aren’t the same thing. The idea of them having deadly saliva from eating rotting carcasses is a myth. They don’t wait weeks for prey to die either, the dragons kill or incapacitate prey as quickly as possible using their teeth. Venom is completely secondary and doesn’t make much of a difference
