That's the story of these of many of these non-NJPW feds for the last decade. It's even worse when you're actively promoting old guys to the top when certain young guys are doing well or have the window to do well (right now AJPW, DDT, NOAH). There's the excuse "well it's t-to put over the young guy in the end" and the returns are usual met with a resounding "eh" when it's done.
