Objectively speaking a the best fun and most polished engine was day of reckoning the first one is the best, second one is a bit better but not the best. Graphics still hold up till this day.

Not just for the time but even now, could make your own logos and make whatever weird shit you could come up with like dinosaurs, robots, anime characters, all the tools were there. If DOR2 had a SYM/HCTP style story mode it would easily be the GOAT.

These threads always make me sad that there's never been a genuinely great wrestling game. There's been good ones sure, but the genre has never really elevated past being button mashers with extensive character customization. There's never been a wrestling game that was a must play even for people who didn't like wrestling.

KYR was great, but that fucking loading and simulated lifebar matches...also full of a lot of gimmick changes that bother me, like all the RTC guys (it reduces the diversity of characters) and blue jeans Carder.The first game is actually pretty great in retrospect. I've only played these first five.
