Seriously, what the fuck was that match. It's odd even for the (low) WCW standards>Cheap ass cage >2000 run ins>dozens of fake Stings litterally everywhere. On the stage, on the cage, around the ring, among the crowds>What even is the point of having dozen of fake Stings if the true one didnt even show up>Hogan attempting to indirectly murder Savage by letting him fall from the cage without catching him as planned>Piper somehow no sold belt hits and two consecutive Legdrop of Dooms>An actuall fan invade the ring>The PPV ends with Hogan, Savage, Bischoff, the fake Stings, the security and the referee shoot beating up the fan, while Piper, the match winner is handcuffed and doing jackshit
>>12935489Who cares, Eddie Mysterio happened that night.
>>12935489Piper vs Hogan was always a huge draw for them, and Piper could somehow always beat Hogan and Nash's politicking, so he couldn't be beat clean by them but they wanted to 'look strong' so all the extra bullshit was tacked on. Piper also had the hip issue and couldn't do as much in a cage match so they needed filler because they wanted to do a stupid cage match regardless, and it was post Mankind so they thought they needed spotz.
>>12935489Piper in WCW might actually be the worst in-ring worker of all time.
It was just their "counter" to the first Hell in a Cell supposedly.
>>12935489Sounds based desu (I typed out desu)
It wasn’t a real fan at the end, mark. 100% planned.
>>12935620Hogan throwing worked punches against that fan never fails to make me laugh.
>>12935620>>12935627Hogan was working, but Savage beat him up with shoot kicks, so it's hard to tell. Unlike Vince WCW often kept the camera on legit fan invasions
The dumbest thing is that Piper was the one who scheduled this match as some authority figure and the dumbass didn’t even make it for the title.
>>12935634It’s a callback to the main event of Starrcade ‘96 when an actual fan really did enter the ring and Giant had to hold Piper for like 1 minute straight in the chokeslam position. Looked awful.
>>12935547Mankind cell spot was 1998
>>12935627This. Shows you how Hulk probably never had to deal with irate fans before but Savage did. Savage putting on the full Nelson is probably what they would have done back in the day to detain the invader until security was out. Rolling the dude into the ring and throwing worked punches just exposes the entire thing as a work.

>>12935489WCW had everything going for it but what a fucking shitshow. I’ll never forgive them for not burying WWF.
>>12935489Reminder: this match was so bad that Cornette devoted a whole segment on Raw to being worked into a shoot over it.
>WWF buried this match as "Age in a Cage">Piper was the same age as half of the participants in this month's Elimination Chamber
While we're here, someone give me the lowdown on HH 95, Hogan vs The Gianthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_Fs0pk3bjkWhat the fuck is going on here? >>12937339>Why...?Yes.
>>1293733995 was a really fucking bad year for WCW & WWF
>>12935489What do expect from the company that brought you this?
>>12935553He was fucking 43 with a false hip! Did you want him doing a 480 no touch top rope fuckinator or something? Just the fact he could even walk to the ring was a miracle
>>12937339>What the fuck is going on here? Smoke some weed and take a ride through 1995 wcw brother, its wild
>>12937339Coke anon. WCW was well known to just get drunk & snort coke and do matches.
>>12937235WWE has become WCW in its entirety. It’s hilarious to think about
>>12938139How do explain how wrestlers survive this kayfabe wise?
