Was Corey Graves any good when he was on the indie circuit? The only thing I've seen from him during that time is when he hit a crippled wrestler with a guillotine driver: https://youtu.be/j--7KkN7ZnU
He was good enough in the formative years of NXT
He wasn't a great in-ring guy(just fine and maybe even good, just not a super worker) but he eventually found charisma and got really over. Then he got signed to WWE, they put him with Vader's son in NXT and he had to retire not too long after.

>>12948989I saw him at a ROH show and the only thing I took away was how skinny yet fat he looked.
>>12949280Graves being "We have CM Punk at home" wasn't exactly an unusual take
>>12949355That meme didn't even exist back then.
>>12949396>being this literal
>>12949355I saw them as a team once or twice. Everyone thought they looked like people who might team up together.
>>12948989He could have done a pick-up artist gimmick looking like that.
>>12949439He kinda trialled one in "presentation skills" but it never made TV
