I haven't watched WWE since 2003. I just watched an episode of the latest RAW........wtf happened?
Vince got 18 years older, and 40 years more stubborn and out of touch
>>12949806Nia Jax injured her hole
>>12949806Triple H and Stephanie took over the company in 2005 and are running it from behind the scenes>>12949830This fag here either is retarded and doesn’t know the truth or works for HHH and Stephanie and doesn’t want people to know the truth
HHH had his on-screen role reduced.
>PG corporate era >ratings aren’t a metric for success anymore >Vince is senile and has failed TV writers making the scripts instead of the boys cutting their own promos >anyone with fan support gets buried Take your pick
>>12949839If your argument is that Vince isn't out of touch and stubborn because he ceded power 15 years ago and never fought to get it back, then lmao
a lot...
>>12949852See >>12949839>>12949860He can’t because if he tried HHH and Stephanie would just cancel him. Face it why do you think we see all these long workrate matches, smark pandering, and SJW agendas being pushed? It’s because of HHH and Stephanie
>>12949806Obama took office.
>>12949806Watch Dynamite tonight
>>12949894But HHH has booked NXT which at times was very good. RAW is nothing like that.
>>12949860Nice headcanon, imagine being a Vince apologist
>>12949909NXT has always been indie vanilla midget smark shit. Long workrate matches where at least 1 person gets injured every night, no promos, no characters, no charisma, no larger than life personalities, filled with jobbers from PWG and ROH, it’s literally what’s infesting all of WWE now
>>12949913I called him out of touch and senile, how am I an apologist
>>12949909Early NXT was a joint work of Haitch and Rhodes. Incidentally after Rhodes's death and Michaels replacing him the show startes to become shitter and shitter
>>12949806It got really bad
Just a few:>They made Guerrero and Benoit top guys in 2004. Guerrero died a year later, Benoit murdered his family and then himself two years after that and it brought the company to its knees. >Lesnar walked out in 2004 and they had to rush to build other stars. They ran with Cena and Batista and within a year it was almost exclusively Cena, anyone else who got over was never allowed to compete with him on any serious level and they could never rekindle the lightning in a bottle that they had with Rock and Austin, not that Cena or any of the rest of them were at that level. >Internet continued to grow and social media boomed with the advent of the smartphone/wifi/3g. Access anywhere, commenting anywhere on products. The emphasis became less about ratings since the TV ocean became even bigger with consumers spoilt for choice. Focus turned gradually to online traction, trending, hashtags and youtube views as a metric for success>Raw goes 3 hours week in and week out, too much, never worked, especially when you're flying by the seat of your pants and rewriting shows on the day with no real long term storytelling, people would rather check in now and then and watch a 5 minute youtube highlight>Years of cheap ratings pop attempts, getting in celebrities like Verne Troyer, Snoop Dogg and PeeWee Herman which nobody gave a FUCK about>Phones killed crowds and fans and signs, WWE also began confiscating signs and clamping down on the bantz>Steph consolidating more power in a corporate role, marketing, branding etc. Women being cunts and ruining a good thing>Womens wrestling getting emphasis even though they can't even run the ropes without looking awkward nevermind wrestling a match. Modern sjw culture means most people are fooled or convinced it's commendable to give them everything the men have when it's really dime repellent>Super clear soulles HD presentation, LED tron and apron. Piss poor commentators never able to suitably replace prime JR and King.
>>12950176>Focus turned gradually to online traction, trending, hashtags and youtube views as a metric for successBasically, WWE is synonymous with wrestling. WWE itself is the draw even in its worst slumps. Networks pay for WWE to fill reliable timeslots because the brand and lineage and backlog library is vast and well established. The WWE product is the draw moreso than anything actually going on within WWE.
