i ask just because i have some family in Europe and i know that they speak like a ton of languages :O meanwhile… us americans typically just know English and a little bit of Spanish or French if we’re lucky (depends on the school district, but in most schools you get to choose either to be your second language, Spanish is the most common choice, but even then most people are not fluent in either)
i speak English as my native language and took a lot of Spanish in school, i used to be almost fluent (maybe i’m exaggerating hehe…) but i got so rusty :/
and i personally can read Korean script (Hangeul) and recognize a lot of words but can’t fluently speak it of course.
