>be me, masters in mech eng>work in one of, if not the largest company that produces the second most used product (after water)>our plant is top 5 in revenue in the group (company) worldwide this year>work in projects departament>its 5 of us>I am a substitue to the boss, as only I have access to and know the budgeting, purchase requisition and other programs and shit>half of the year we wait, other half there is work>get paid an average as fuck salary, but stay as I basically go to work to rest>the whole plant is built like a house of cards>if boss gets hit by a car or something, the whole departament will fall apart as he barely keeps us all up to date>this is true for all the departements (maintanance, packing, etc)holy fuck its like a jokeI honestly hope for something bad to happen to my boss so I can ask for a huge raise or quit, as everything will fall apart, and I am more inclined to watch it crumblewhat a fucking joke, they are willing to risk the whole plant on a dozen guys staying healthy....fuck this clown world
>>944052980is your company old and adventurous like united mills own nuclear power plants and such to make food and then wartime sidequests

>>944052980You work in plastics, or petrochem, and trust me, there is millions of people who can do your job.You are running a giant chemistry set, its known science. The only thing you are talking about is self imposed limitations (most likely oracle) that is built to be cumbersome to prevent fraud.

>>944054014Oh jesus, its concrete. The fact that you think your national company cannot replace you is asinine.

>>944052980Damn, what a cute little girl. Honestly, honestly, the aesthetics of little girls specifically is just amazing. It sounds like a very pedophile thing to say, but it's a totally non-sexual aesthetic. They're just cute. It's like puppies. Puppies are really cute. And kittens, and baby fishes, and snails munching on grass. It's kawaii. And little girls fit into that category very well
>>944052980We don't care about your job stories, OP. Just post more pictures of her.
>>944053397Michael Jackson, no!
>>944052980This is basically all of industry.Hiring a body that can make it through HR's discrimination gives a worse outcome than not having that dead weight and just overworking your remaining white employees.Due to undermanning, it is literally impossible for several people at the plant to take breaks or lunch as legally required. We have gently suggested they hire and train more people and wr've been told they will never put more than the absolute minimum number of operators per process per shift. So, anybody ever calls in sick or takes vacation and nobody covers? FLSA violations.Basically the only saving grace of this place is they aren't being colonized by H1Bs yet.

>>944052980>>944057340ya'll niggers don't realize that government, huge businesses, basically everything everywhere runs on excel spreadsheets. most of the time, they're sheets so complex, so old, so convoluted and patchworked together... that nobody knows how they function. pray to whatever power you believe in that microsoft doesn't release an update that breaks old excel sheets, or causes microsoft teams to stop working for a day. it would be absolute economic collapse and that is not in any way an exaggeration of how important fucking excel spreadsheets are to the function of 1st world nations. same goes for a shit ton of code. you'd be shocked how much of infrastructure is running on old, cobbled together code that nobody really understands because the guy that built the system died in 1997. businesses that have servers that have been running for 18 years and nobody knows what they do, but if they turn them off everything goes haywire. its even worse with a lot of complex machinery. huge complex systems that have been running for decades, with so many changes/repairs/fixes, half of it found in short hand notes, the other half not even written down... then someone retires or dies and it's a madhouse for months and months.
