I’m 26, almost 27. My parents are getting older. My dad is 64 and has knee problems. My mom is 59, has liver issues, is often tired, and her eyesight is starting to fail.I work and study now instead of just studying full-time. I miss my old life, where I only focused on studying. I’m unsure what comes next. Right now, I’m focused on finishing my degree, saving money, and trying to get a better job.My parents tell me not to worry and to focus on work, saving money, finishing my degree, and staying healthy, but I feel like I should be doing more. What would you do in my position? What practical steps should I be taking right now to help my parents in the future?

listen to your dad: don't worrymake them proud and happy that you are living a life that makes you happy & secure, but just make sure that you spend as much time as you can with them.be a good son and take them for experienced you can share together like travelling or activities that are sentimental to the times they raised you.time together is the best you can do not only for them, but for yourself as well
>>944114535Work to get an actual job that makes enough money to help your parents when they are down.I wasted 5 years doing dead end jobs because I didn't want to go to navy because I worry my dad might leave my mother. He did while I finally commission in the navy. But now, I make decent money and give my mum couple of hundreds a month and she is used to being alone
>>944115774Why the Navy and not the Army or the Air Force?

More money would not hurt. Invest in S&P 500 Index Funds.Get them on medical insurance for seniors.
I was 27 when my dad died so buckle the fuck up kiddo
>>944120141>Invest in S&P 500 Index Funds. Don't you need a ton of money for that?
>>944114535>What would you do in my position?I'd murder both of them, make a wig and a dress of human skin out of my mother, then cook and eat my dad's penis like a hot dog on a bun with some mustard and relish.
