About a week ago at 2 am I rolled over in bed and gave myself testicular torsion for a few seconds, which hurt my nut even though it got untwisted and i eventually went to the hospital at like 5 am. by 8AM they told me that they would have to do exploratory surgery (i.e. cutting a slit down my nutsack and pulling my balls out to look at them and see if they're dead or twisted) since the method they'd usually use (ultrasound) would take too long (it had already been 7 hours which is past the ideal length for a suspected torsion.) for some reason the idea of my balls being twisted was nothing to the idea of having to get them sliced open and go under anaesthesia (never been put under before then) and so I, indeed, did get my nuts sliced open, after which they found absolutely nothing except for the deformity which makes torsion possible. so now it's been a week with a big stitched up wound along my nuts, i've only showered twice out of fear this whole week, and I'm going genuinely insane from not being able to sit or walk for more than a few minutes at a time out of safety.
wow i need to proofread my shit better kek that is unreadable. to clarify, they aim to have surgery done within 4-6 hours of torsion for a 90% chance of saving the nut, and they would normally have time beforehand to do the ultrasound which detects bloodflow in your nuts. since it had already been 7 hours, they decided it was safer to just cut me open since if i DID have it it would just waste even more time that could be nut saving time. If i hadn't undone it i would've probably been in 10/10 pain the whole time beforehand (i was like 3/10 in actuality) which would've warranted a faster response probably

Stayed in hospital for like a week with balls the size of a mini basketball. They made me shower everyday despite being barely able to walk. They told me I'd get gangrene. I've twisted my nuts before it hurts, take it easy for a couple days and it heals itself. No surgery required. Ultrasound doesn't take long. Ask any woman who's been pregnant. It takes far less time than prepping for surgery. They lied to you so they could make a profit and left you with a scar on your nuts for nothing. Fuck hospitals man.

I had an operation to get the tumour removed without sacrificing the whole ball (had it done privately, the general hospital only offered to remove the whole testicle). It went okay. They put me under, and operated on the ball by making an incision under my tummy and pulling it through there. Thankfully woke up and found out my tumour was non-cancerous. The really sucky part for me was recovery, I'm slightly overweight and for a few days any time i stood up it felt like my guts would fall out of the place they stitched me up. Still, this was iirc 3 years ago or so, fully recovered and not had any more issues since. I know it's a scary place to get treated, good luck OP. 1 in 5 men will have some operation down there, couldn't be much more common.
My boyfriend only has one nut because the other got killed in a motorcycle accident as he was only wearing shorts. His sack had torn open from grinding over the asphalt, together with parts of his ass and thighs. Looked quite rancid the first time but he was very honest about it and let me knew upfront.
