I fucking hate my job, I work at Costco and I'm quitting Sunday. I have never had a greater displeasure than to work for Costco, it is by far the most disorganized, slimy, and most draining places which I have worked, the warehouse is held together by a shitty system which constantly feels like it's falling apart. I work in the Los Angeles area and I work in one of the warehouses which used to be PriceSmart which makes them part of a union. The union is cool and they got me my job back when I was fired the first time, they also have rules which mean jack shit cause the manager will try to make excuses or straight up lie to you about the rules of the union to benefit them.The managers in particular are fucking annoying. They're all fucking hs graduates who feel they made it cause they're slaving away 12 hours for 5-7 days a week for a salary check. This leads to a lot of them being constantly stressed and attempting to find any way to make their closing shift easier. They also choose who their favorite is, and cutting whoever they like while fucking the rest of the employees over. We have a female manager who likes to micromanage and nitpick like a little whore but then goes in the tire center and chat it u with the tire center guys (a rumor going around she had an orgy with them which wouldn't be too far off) We have a new GM, which is the third after our last one came and fucked everything up and dipped out. The first GM who I was hired under was made to resign after it came out he was committing a type of fraud with three other managers. Our new GM doesn't take employee input, I'm pretty sure he has a type of OCD or some shit cause he gets his period if there are stray carts and shit on the floor and has made new rules which have genuinely fucked everything up. My job goes based off seniority which makes all the old heads in my warehouse feel some type of entitlement and also all act like they peaked in hs and haven't moved on. The only thing that makes work tolerable are my coworkers, some of my closest friends have come from my job and they are the only ones I'm sad to not work with anymore. I have been cussed out, had to cancel plans and reservations, and gave up two years for a company in which I have not moved up in other than brief three month stint in the optical dept. I work in the carts department. The coolest thing that has happened at my job is that I met the Cart Narcs and the fights which I have witnessed. The job was also relatively simple until the new GM got there. He came and made rules like no double stacking lines and empty curbs, which makes no fucking sense cause we don't have a cart pusher machine. He also expects shit done on the fly cause he's the GM and he is 75% always taking some fiucking phone call which I am certain are just his homies who he talks to. We had a fucking employee suggestions box who the last GM put in place, everyday I put in a paper with the message "please give the cart credit a cart pushing machine." three months later all of my suggestions and the rest of the employees suggestions have all piled up and are collecting dust, a new box got put up for the song suggestions for the paid Christmas party (that one was read) They treat the cart employees like they're super humans and have infinite energy and constantly extend everyone but two full time gym rats to about 35-40 hour weeks cause they don't want to hire. One of my coworkers quit cause they'll single out one or two employees to constantly extend on hours and since (cont.)

Costco also runs on an ancient OS Intranet system which crashes more often now, if anyone has the capabilities of hacking it fucking go for it you'd be surprised how behind Costco is as a company, we didnt get a dedicated employee app until last year, It didn't work and we were told to not use it, now it legit redirects you to the company website to view your schedule.
