do people with glasses progressively blur their vision faster? Can I still see without them if I wear them for 20 years?
>>944846530It depends on whether or not you're talking about reading glasses (yes, reading glasses continue ruining your eyesight) or real glasses (no, the effect of reading glasses doesn't happen when you're wearing real glasses)
>>944846530Yes, if they are incorrect for your eyesight. It's why you do checkups and switch them out every few years...
here's a little vision test for you...google the names of ophthalmologist in your town.I just did, here's what I got:>Rubenstein>Rothstein >Levy>Nadler>Kleinfelterlook carefully. what do all those names have in common? now ask yourself again, are glasses a real thing or are they just a scam like braces or psychiatry?
>>944846530Depends, if your are myopic or hyperopic and wearing the wrong prescription glasses your sight will get worse. If you have astigmatism like me and wear glasses to compensate for it, you'll avoid head splitting tension migraines if the glasses are made properly for you or only get slight tension headaches if they aren't made properly for you.
>>944846530No, being inside and staring at screens all day makes your eyesight bad.
>>944846530Glasses are for people with several degrees of myopia + astigmatism like me. If you just struggle making out something on your screen just make it bigger
>>944849617THISMy eyes are different, and left one is a bit more oval shape. So without glasses they try hard to match each other. I can see. But everything just appears farther/smaller like 15% more. Text now have become hard to read if its small. But even if I wore glasses and I saw the same, I would do it. Because I wear them to get rid of head aches. My eyes trying to match each other all day gives me headaches. Drives me crazy. One Time my glasses broke. I just wore a DIY eyepatch to keep one eye closed lmao. Would alternate the eye every few hours. This worked on not getting a headache, but was annoying until I bought new glasses
>>944854526People haven't got a clue about how bad a headache can be until they are standing around in a 7Eleven while wearing pajamas and accompanying the sounds of chugging down pain meds with bottled water that you bought there, with involuntary pain sounds caused by the waves of pain infused colors drilling into your head with a diamond drill dipped in pure capsaicin at 3 am on a Wednesday. I've entertained the idea of digging out my left eye because I figured that the pain from that couldn't possibly be as bad as the tension migraine it was causing me.Heck I would rather have both of my feet run over by a forklift for the second time and suffer the 3 month recovery period caused by the sprains that were so bad that the ER doctor involuntarily jerked back when he saw them, than I would want to experience that sort of migraine again.
>>944846530No, but screens and looking at close distances in general does.
>>944855088yeah, wanting to bang my head against the wall, to get at the part in my brain i want to rip out. I been there.
