I would like to see a return of Kevin, Claire, Rebecca, Jill, and Carlos to the series. With the new games (meaning 7, 8, and 9) we have only gotten Chris, Leon, Sherry, and Alyssa. While the Syndrome is realistic to how real virus can work, its a bad writing point. It creates too many variables, so now if they want to use any of the characters from the early games, they have to address the syndrome or it creates plot holes.

No, the Raccoon City incident changed the timeline enough that 9/11 didn't happen. It probably kicked off the terrorism hyper-awareness that 9/11 did.
