Then covid happened and that dragged out his trial to a ridiculous degree until 2023, such that prosecutors had to hurry up and do something or lose the ability to prosecute him at all, and he ended up accepting a plea deal which included 30 years of probation, which he's probably going to fuck up somehow. I'm not sure what all happened after his sentencing, but apparently if he behaved himself in jail he could have served less than 4 months.
