you know, just like, what if. i got to thinking about ads and how people actually make money with them and whatnot. somewhere i came up with this little script here as a way to siphon advertiser's wallets into 4chan's bank account quicker. idk if it would actually work as is, but in order to actually share the idea i had to write the basic concept down so here it is. would running something like this do anything? i refresh the page more often during normal use so i doubt it'd hit the servers too hard but how badly would this actually effect the ad service? surely they have something on the backend that would flag a single ip refreshing the page 50 million times and not charge the advertiser right?
Yeah, I imagine there is a limit per IP per day, and any "impressions" past that don't pay anything. And this is assuming that the ads pay out per view anyway, they might be paying a flat rate per day or week or something (based on average traffic), I'm ignorant of the advertising industry.
