Do you ever think about how much power one word can have on another persons life? Even just changing their feelings for one second of their life could change the entire trajectory of the rest of their life. That's powerful and that's scary.
Yeah there was an incident where I was snarky to a winn-dixie employee for no reason other than just being a smartass and it seemed to have made him sadIt pops into my head now and then
>>948857177that one moment is possibly responsible for winn dixie selling to aldi and hundreds of winn dixies closing across the country.
>>948857225I mean that may be overselling it...
>>948857252not only that, but those stores closing means hundreds of thousands of people lose out on good deals and easy access to affordable food and then they have to spend more money at expensive chains like publix, meaning less money for them and their families, meaning less money to spend on other local businesses meaning those business owners have less money, the families have less money, everyone has less money except big chain groceries. You possibly even killed thousands of people. Robbed children of future education funds because that money had to be spent on more expensive food.
>>948857524I mean you're being kind of silly but I *do* have a butterfly effect moment that still seriously bothers me from high school
NIGGER!

>>948856868If you are a nobody, you only really have the power to terrorize other people with violence as the means to affect NPCs. Otherwise main character syndrome prevents anything you do from affecting NPCs. Especially if you are categorized as an enemy. Now if you are a somebody to them, absolutely your words and ideas will slightly adjust their life trajectory in any direction. And that can spread too. It really is like billiards - the balls on the table are people you know and other tables are strangers, playing normally you only affect those in your social circle. Who can then mess with others in the same social circle, but to mess with others you have to wildly pop yourself around violently. Which has drastic consequences for THE GAME. You never know - some caring comment may save someone from suicide, while the snarky one results in their suicide! And from there all their future interactions either continue or stop, all based on your actions.
