Guys I need some advice. After a stay in the ER I couldn’t shit for a week. After trying every laxative known to man I finally had a bowel movement but then realized I’d given myself a thrombosed hemorrhoid the size of a ping pong ball. It’s getting bigger, warmer, and more painful. I’ve started to keep a constant low-grade fever. I have two options available to me: a full bottle of cephalexin and a 20g hypodermic needle/leur lock syringe I took from the uni bio lab. What do? Drain or run antibiotic course? Wanted to avoid coughing up the urgent care copay but if it’s necessary I’ll do it. (Pic related)

That is not a thrombosed hemorrhoid.That is an abscess. Antibiotics won’t fix that alone (only surgery will). Usually surgical drainage under general anaesthesia but if you’re tough they may do it in ER.
