Basically I wouldn't let her in because she looked different, she looked mostly the same she was begging to be let in but she scared the fuck out of me because one of her eyes was different There was something really about her one eye, like the skin around it was really noticeably different and it was half closed her something, it looked really wrinkly or something like she did something to it and suddenly it reminded me of this old family photo we had and the photo itself had a really creepy story behind it that I won't explain but it just made it seem more like some type of threat to me and in the photo her eye looked kind of the same but I always thought it was just a really bad photo that made her eye look like that, and it was also like they creepy because it's an old ass photo how would they know about that? There's another reason I think the internet sucks. I won't go into detail. I think the internet is used as a hub for certain types of behavior or people and it's kind of a proliferation of a certain mentality I am incompatible with. I think most of what I've experienced is the culmination of neoliberalism, which is also a social and cultural driver supposedly and not only economic and political, which is weird. One thing I remember is that at some point due to the great recession, it started to become this desire by some to want to mirror and almost harken back to the 1930s, and this was partly done through music and culture with folk music in particular. It was like this weird fucking thing, and people started getting undercuts all the time which was popular back then too. I think a lot of it was that some people's ethnicity or something almost and what it seemed like they felt it stopped being "their time" after the 1930s, because the 1950s for example was way different. It was almost like the edwardian era here, like that's what it reminded me of which was like aw hell no. But neoliberalism is almost like a mixture of liberalism and even fascism and far right policies, which was what was so maddening about it because I think you'd simultaneously have seperate things going on with the liberals and the conservatives and yet, despite their minor differences their seemed to be not that much difference to them, no matter what you couldn't escape this communism, liberalism and fascism, it seemed like the same thing just playing the left right spectrum going bad and forth all the time and it was neoliberalism I think. Anyway the reason I mentioned the strong sentiment for harkening back to an earlier time is that it seemed like everyone just wanted to pretend and erase all social problems like they didn't exist and force this 'perfect society on top of it' and in doing so they were trying to create a society that resembled like almost the 1950s

Its interesting, this basically a relic from the past, I never would have known they had lights like this in the 80s. But I do remember that older lights were more colorful and dimmer before they changed the lights. Some things were more colorful, like television was for example, as a result I used to like watching older shows because it seemed like they had more feeling to them. Now everything seems sort of washed out. But I am just replying to what someone said about the 90s being like the 50s had widespread conformity and uniformity, and was quite homogenous. (I won't go into complete detail of course I'll only touch on a few basics) but the 1950s was like one of the most prosperous periods in American history, the 90s were not. The 50s and even more so the 60s were a lot more colorful and warm, and then the 70s wasn't as much for some reason, it's when they first started neoliberalism. But then the 80s was warm and colorful too, so it came back, until the 90s again and the 90s was more spiritual or religious or something, that's when they essentially started lightening everything, that's kind of when what I talked about really started. And then the 2000s happened, I'm actually not sure about this decade, I remember the first pirates of the Caribbean and first new batman movie and first lord of the rings movie, were all different, but the sequels became a lot more generic and lightened. I wasn't able to watch that many movies because we just had a small shitty movie store so I missed out on a lot of things, also there wasn't Netflix. I saw a lot of 80s and some 90s movies on TV though. The 2010s seemed to go on forever for me, when it first started going it didn't seem like it was just going to be another decade but what people were seemingly trying to seriously change things and make lasting change. That's when I think they tried to bring uniformity and conformity back, and it's still going on in the 2020s, like 2019

And people started to try and push to attempt and really push for broader acceptance and prominence of psychiatry attempting to diagnose anyone who they didn't accept or tolerate with a psychiatric label, and in fact it's almost become a serious problem where people will seriously try to use psychiatry against you it's just sick.
