VANCOUVER, BC, Oct. 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Equity Insider News Commentary -- Gold prices broke past $3,800 an ounce for the first time Monday, hitting a record high as expectations of further U.S. rate cuts and concerns about a potential government shutdown fueled safe-haven demand[1]. The precious metal's inflation-adjusted price reached its first record since 1980 earlier this month, with Deutsche Bank now forecasting gold could rise above $4,000 by year-end, implying a full-year return exceeding 50%. This rally has sparked a notable shift in institutional positioning, with firms like Southern Capital Advisors initiating new positions in junior gold mining funds as buy-side attendance at key industry events surged more than 30%, signaling growing confidence in companies across the exploration and development spectrum ...

Does this mean to load up on those shitcos operating in LatAm which pay 10% dividends?
>>
>>23393477
No, never buy those. Trust me on this. Canada and USA have amazing companies with great assets that you can buy for very reasonable prices without needing to take risks in LatAm shitcos that have little to no growth and that always without fail trade at low multiples.
>but muh leverage!
not worth the headache. Just buy the best assets under the best management and sleep your nights well. Ask what the majors want to invest in and follow suit.

My glo position is up ~10% and I took profits when it was last at $1. Not wrong just a little early and could have done better in the short term backing the memestocks and low grade dirt projects.

I used to be pretty wary of them with how they spend, but the recent drill results are just ridiculous. You can't have by far the best deposit in the world and then hit 30% over 15m just a few kilometres away, it's not fair to the other CEOs.
>>
>>23393803
In all honesty yeah it's still a very attractive stock despite the management's feverish plundering of the equity holders. There's so much value there that a billion dollars going to management/BOD pockets doesn't put much of a dent into the bull thesis. I wish I had some shares but as is too often the case I cheaped out. Looking for a good dip, not sure if I will get one.

Rick being the contrarian that he is, he's now saying that silver isn't the great opportunity it was a year or two back. I actually agree with him since it's now back at its previous all time highs. Still a lot of room to go up to be sure but Rick is probably beginning to take profits off the top now. He was one of the very few on the buyers' side when nobody else cared. Funny to read the comments on this video, a lot of people in the peanut gallery seem to think they're smarter than the old fox.
>>
>>23393823
at the $12.08 offering price for this raise I'm a buyer. oct/nov usually hot months in uranium. best case their permits get rejected in the new year and we go to $500/lb in the panic.

NexGen signed their first contract for delivery a year ago. Most contracts don't start delivering for 2-3 years from the point of sale. It's absolutely a factor in uranium price discovery.

I don't know much about their prospects but their recent years' track record in Finding & Developing costs has been absolutely horrendous. That's kind of the salt of the conventionals, you never really know what you get. Pool hunting is often very unpredictable and conventional discoveries have not kept up with depletion even before the shale boom began (in fact the shale boom was a direct result of the drought in reserve replacement). Parex may be able to make some lucky discoveries or improve the corporate FD&A via acquisitions.

There's a very good reason why the majors are all consolidating shale, developing oil sands or drilling ultradeep offshore wells. There will always be some value in good conventionals but growth in that side of the biz is difficult and money just isn't flowing that way since there are better prospects and bigger money elsewhere
>>23393944

Billionaire nigga Rick is in the club
>>
>>23393979
I think he is earnestly stating his positioning. Many juniors are up hundeds of %. He has big positions so he can't exactly sell into weakness without moving the share price. When you're a multimillionaire you want to exit your positions over time and sell into strength. I think it's bizarre to think he should never sell any shares when the goal is literally to buy low and sell high. I've made a lot of money buying stocks Rick has talked about when they are cheap. I don't always agree with his takes (his NA natgas bull thesis and Largo Vanadium redox battery speculation have been hilariously wrong for example) but his philosophy and way of investing have stuck with me. He's one of the best people to learn from if you want to become a better investor in this godawful sector. I wouldn't have made half the gains I made if I had listened to Don Durrett or some other grifter when learning the ropes.

Rick has said some pretty smart stuff, but I don't listen to him anymore since he just regurgitates stuff he has already said. Listening to Rick being interviewed once or twice a year is enough, His educational videos on the other hand are worth watching, some more than others, but there's some good info in those.
>>
>>23394009
I admit the guy is brilliant, but he's kind of slimy too and sometimes doing the opposite of what he's saying
>>
>>23394046
>but he's kind of slimy too and sometimes doing the opposite of what he's saying
I mean can you blame him? If you go through his educational videos, you will know not to buy even when he's shilling.
>>
>>23394045
This 100%. His biggest issue is that he keeps repeating himself way too much, sometimes he even repeats outdated info. I haven't listened to him for months because what's the point when there's so little new insight to get? I wish the interviewers asked better questions and not just "what do you think about [ticker]?"
>>23394046
True you should always listen to him with a critical mindset and never follow blindly. He's slightly slimy at times but at least I have never seen him state outright falsehoods. He may call a company he owns great while at the same time he may be selling shares. He did this with uranium stocks back in like 2023 and some people here felt betrayed, but he was buying and drumming up the sector years in advance when the share prices were dozens of x's lower. Rick ended up selling near a local top and he was very open about it. I honestly don't think he did anything wrong. He bought uranium stocks again at the lows in the following meltdown and was again very open about it.
>>
>>23394061
>>23394088
Bros, you know what I think it could be? I used to catch a lot of Rick interviews 3-5 years ago, not very many now. Back then, I remember at least twice Rick saying he didn't want to live in a world with $5k gold. Can't remember for sure if it was $5k, or maybe $10k, but he went on saying how he is a comfortable old rich guy and gold price that high would be scary. I think nigga Rick now thinks it's possible gold could hit that and his comfy billionaire life could be in jeopardy if gold gets that high, so he's no longer going full throttle trying to fuel it

He thinks gold will go to $6-8k as far as I know. I think he said that he doesn't like it because it will mean the stability he has enjoyed all his life will go away. Like his gold investments will do well but everything else will do poorly. So yeah I think you're right there. I don't think Rick is under any illusion that what he says will affect the market in any way though.
