Many trans people are very sensitive and certain images upset their dysphoria. Some will tell you about it to maintain the friendship and respect but there's more than zero who won't say anything, have a meltdown and make it out like it's the other person's fault for not knowing. I'm similar with certain things but I'm naturally aggressive so I'll say something and put the ball in your court.
