how come?

btw i meant to respond to what you wrote in the last thread, sorry
i tend to read alot of scifi, but sometimes poetry or other things
i have alot of math textbooks i want to go through at some point, i just suck at focusing lately (i want to set up a flashcard system as well but it's kinda complicated)

the stuff you mentioned reading (philosophy, memoirs, manga, etc) was basically a list of the things i want to learn more about, lol
pretty cool
and yeah, i think manga does count, depending on what it is i guess
i've been meaning to go through BLAME!, i really like what i've heard of the lore & artwork

i'll have to go through & read the post again
>>
its getting late I'm supposed to do some stuff tomorrow.

>how come?
a new week is about to start
a new week of getting up at 06:00 am everyday
it's hell
>sorry
don't apologise, it's fine :)
>was basically a list of the things i want to learn more about, lol
that's nice, i wish you good luck on it, do you have any works or author in specific you want to get in?
the last philosophy book i've read was some essays of parerga & paralipomena by schopenhauer, the whole book is schopenhauer talking about some topics that range from the morals behind suicide to sanskrit literature, but for some reason the only edition i've found was one that only had 5 essays instead of all of them... the entire book was translated to portuguese but it was some time ago, i couldnt find it online on the most popular stores (perhaps its selling in a niche one? idk) and i didnt found it on my library (perhaps i didnt look too well, there were many more obscure titles there), i hope i can eventually find it otherwise i'll have to read it online, i don't mind at all, i just prefer physhical books
the last memoir i've read was "inside the third reich" by albert speer, as for context, albert speer was a really important architect for its regime, planning tons of buildings, marches and such, and by 1941 he became the minister responsible for war production
amazing book, i really suggest it
last manga i've read was the last chapter of yotsuba on /a/ probably lmao
i really want to read "the prince" and a book by yukio mishima or osamu dazai, i would be fine with any, but im most interested in "the golden pavilion" by mishima and "no longer human" by dazai
>BLAME!
i've heard of it before but i never got in touch with it, perhaps i may give it a try someday, it looks nice
i need to try more sci-fi works lol, i don't even remember the last one i've watched/read...

Monday morning
>>
>>23657753
good morning.
try to think of a treat you can give yourself if you make it through the day then with any luck eventually you will develop a pavlovian response to mondays and each monday youll wake up excited for ur treat xD
and yes human brains are this easy to recondition.
>>
>>23657771
It's raining so hard i think i'll not leave my house today, tomorrow still will be my busiest day tho
This life is so hard
>>
>>23658010
do you study at home or have u just decided to not go to any classes/lectures today?
>>
>>23658046
>do you study at home
I wish...
I just wont go today
>>
>>23658060
ah c'mon dude you just gotta overcome the dread. thinking about the unpleasant thing you need to do is always way way worse than actually doing it.
you will feel worse about yourself if you don't manage to overcome the dread and you'll feel better if you make yourself go.
you should also do something to reward yourself after, itll be hard the first few times but once your brain realizes it gets a reward if you do the unpleasant thing it'll quickly become easier
>>
>>23658073
Thank you very much man, i unfortunately can't even go today anymore but i'll keep what you said in mind
I'm just too tired, i don't know how i could reward myself, i'll think about it
I will be studying more than 12 hours tomorrow, this is hell lol
>>
>>23658149
usually something sweet works best. the idea is to rewire your dopamine pathways like the dogs in Pavlov's experiments.
>>
>>23658149
You need to learn to manage your time better and work into a routine. You need to dig yourself out of the slump you're in. Make it something simple. Go for a short walk in the morning, for example. Do it every day. You need to cultivate discipline and realistic psychological expectations.

Or you can just kill yourself and reroll a new character like I do when I crash out hard on a run and fuck up my build
>>
>>23658255
good advice apart from the suicide bit
>>
I toke a two~three hour nap
>>
>>23658246
Hmm
Good idea actually
After 12 hours of study tomorrow i'll try to go to the market and buy something sweet then
>>23658255
I thought about biking everyday, although very tiresome since our streets were built only thinking on cars it's fun anyway
I'll try to either do it or something similar
>Or you can just kill yourself and reroll a new character like I do when I crash out hard on a run and fuck up my build
Lmao

Thank you two very much
>>
I should probably walk my dog more often
That would be nice
>>
>>23659152
yeah, also its easier to motivate yourself to do that because even if you don't want to you can just do it for the dogs benifit
>>
>>23659384
True
He's old, i want to do the best i can for him
I can't do it right now since it's raining, perhaps i can do it on wednesday
>>
>>23657753
g'day
>>
Btw, how are you doing scottish anon? What are your plans for today?
>>
