I get a lot of 40k content on tiktok so I know some things but not much. I know the Emperor of man has a special life support throne and that Slanesh likes sex.
It seems cool and a lot of my friends have been into it to varying degrees. I just can't imagine spending thousands on toys you have to paint yourself just to play a game with other adult men.
Seems like it's in the same place as Pokémon and other card games that serve as money sinks. At least with 40k you can just buy the pieces you want and don't have to buy 50 booster packs just for a chance at what you want.

the lore does seem pretty cool

i was more afraid of seeing bats, they're the animal i'm most scared of
my old house used to have bats on the attic and after i learned about rabies i never left my house during night ever again
if for some reason i had to come back at home during night i would panic
i always wore long and thick clothes even if it was 30°C, same went for sleeping time and bed sheets, my adolescence was hell
i never considered suicide so much as i did during that time
i only have seen some weird bugs on my new house but no bat, but im still afraid of seeing one, i hate that i forgot my windows open, i truly hope there werent any near when i opened the door and i just didnt saw it

i don't know how is it in poland, but here they unfortunately only give it to you in case you were bitten by an animal
during that time, i was paranoid every single day that i got bitten during sleep or that i simply didnt realize, but i could never prove that i got bitten so in the end i didnt even wasted my time

if ur very paranoid about being bitten just get some white pajamas so if u get bitten you will see the blood.
being bitten in ur sleep is very very very unlikely so try not to worry.
I completely understand this type of fear though, I'm constantly worried about being stabbed in the neck.

I think you might have OCD dude, people with it often get really worried about highly specific things like this. I have some ocd and it often makes me paranoid about stuff and when it happens I think in a very similar way to how you are describing the paranoia.
