I can usually control my actions in dreams so i don't really bother trying to control the dream itself, its more fun that way. being aware of the fact I'm dreaming while everything else is chaotic usually makes for good adventures.sadly I dont seem to have any control when I get trauma dreams but ive been slowly getting less and less of those so its not that bad if I have them only occasionally.
