Hello, I really want an OLED because I like the perfect blacks they can produce for when I'm viewing images with transparent backgrounds. How do projectors compare? Can I use a black "screen" to project on? If a projector has to display an image with a transparent or black background, are those parts illuminated or turned off like in an OLED? thanks.

Vacuum tube is still superior.

dude
you should kill yourself
but ask ai your stupid question first

Projector requires a dark room and a uniform white screen. If you cant keep the room dark, then theres no point and you should buy oled. Even if you can keep the room dark, you should figure out if you have enough room for the overhead or underhead projection. If you cant project a screen bigger than most oleds, then its kind of a waste of money. Projectors are also more expensive for the amount of latency and resolution you'll get.

Can you answer my questions?

My friend bought an oled monitor and it’s dope. I’m a cheap ass and have a FHD because it was a good deal. I dunno go for the oled or maybe ask in /g/.

This but postironically.

only dead pixels can provide perfect black

You have the reading comprehension of a blind nigger with down syndrome.
>Can I use a black "screen" to project
>uniform WHITE background, WHITE
Black absorbs visual spectra, a laser pointer aimed at an extremely black surface will make the laser pointer disappear.
>are those parts illuminated
Do you think a blacklight emits black light?

I'm being consensually raped by a tall miku cosplayer right now it's hard to think.

Thanks I figured black surfaces would mostly absorb light but I'm not familiar enough with projectors to know relative strengths of illumination vs absorption when talking about a normal black surface one can buy at a store and a normal projector one can buy at a store.

Black projector screens do exist, but regular paint and black fabrics are terrible, you'll be essentially running your projector at max brightness at all times. those special "black" screens are designed to reflect more light from the leds than ambient light. but that also means that it doesnt work when led lights are polluting your screen or that the max brightness of your projector isnt being reduced.

Give up on projectors, you have to actually be competent to set them up correctly.

I really care about perfect blacks so my room is capable of perfect darkness to accommodate my needs.
