The entire education and social apparatus we have today is designed to kill the soul of a person. Read John Taylor Gatto or listen to his lectures on youtube. The problem is that this will take at least 15 years of constant effort to reverse and that cannot be done without an authoritarian government. Without some hierarchy where the plebs fall in line and the leadership is both actually good and held responsible for their actions there will be agitators and criminals who will incite the masses against the very people trying to help them. The average person isn't to blame for this system; how could he stand against this titan by himself when he lacks both the ability and the support of others? He can't and that's by design.
