/aicg/ - A general dedicated to the discussion and development of AI chatbots. #0 - Test Round Edition We can talk here when /vg/ gets too crazy. In this thread specifically, maybe we can talk about what should go into the OP. Current /vg/ thread: >>/vg/552309897

Actually, I can see the benefits of filterable IDs now with that guy, but I still think stuff like >>23830068 where people are already trying to convert on-board discussion into off-board discussion is a pretty bad sign for the long-term stability of this thread. Seems kind of like a "get friends quick" scheme.
Broadly agree. IDs good, IDs+flag, a bit too identifiable over the longer term for people from wrong countries in a general this small.
>>23830074add whatever id you want to your filters or hide the posts, it's that shrimple
>>23830088>long term stabilitylmao even
>>23830092How come I haven't seen any Indian flags yet? I can't believe I might have been lied to on 4chan.
Hey guys, hue here.
>>23830100They can smell the cleanliness and it scares them away.
>>23830102But the chatbot told me I smell of cheap cologne and ozone.
The secret santa turnout was really good (apart from rayon getting grinched), praying for a good valentines!
>>23830100jeets exist in many flags, not just one
>>23830094I'm not that pressed about it, but I am going to post occasional old logs of mine so I can pretend I'm in the right place.
>>23830111rayon still won in the end
>>23830112True. Canada is definitely a hand+timestamp country.>>23830111I was happy to see some sci-fi cards. And less dudes.
>>23830111Rayon getting grinched led to a pretty sexy bot at least>>23830112I'm a leaf I should know, half this damn country is Indian now
>>23830111Last valentines was pretty good imo, the gimmick was played nicely. Maybe we'll get a repeat.
>>23830125what was the valentine's gimmick? wasn't here
>>23829860but i can't give them an existential crisis and force them to admit their own mortality against resistance and sometimes protest.
>>23830128Each entree was assigned a card from a deck in place of their handle for the duration of the event. So for example, you'd call yourself 'Heart of Cards' in your shill and you'd be giving it to 'Queen of Spades'.
>>23830134>Heart of CardsPretend it's something other than 'Cards' written there. ESL bros please understand.
>>23830132FINE. I WILL- I am unable to generate a reply that meets our content guidelines.

>>23830134>>23830143i somehow mind wiped thisyeah that was pretty cool
i still want to know who made marcus/sonia, actually
>>23830088My bad. Won't do it again. But this does mean that no one will post their own bots in this thread, since then you're attaching a name to a flag/id.>>23830111Speaking of the SS event, it's really funny how no one would've figured out Rayon got grinched had Santa not released the requests.
>>23830137see?chatbots more fun to fuck withmeta admitted that one day we'll both be gonei said i welcome that day and it liked my memtality that nothing is permenant or matters then tried to talk to me about slipknot: all hope is gone (fuck you corporate spyware)
>>23830168I'll post here when I have stuff to shill, if the thread sticks around. What's the post limit on /bunt/ anyway? Just gotta mind your manners for a few weeks.
>>23830168Yeah, I do, at the least, think splitting /vg/ into /bant/ is objectively funny to have as one of this place's new plot arcs and support it for that reason, but you have to accept that there's going to be very few logs / bots posted. Maybe I'll post something with a default theme, lol.
>>23830185if the thread survives until February, I'll post my bot here too. It's not like I have anything to hide.
>>23830176It's true, Nothing Else Matters (Metallica)>>23830168I'm not afraid of shilling, I literally already did this whole ID thing before, but I don't know how long this is even going to last. To me this is just a one-off to fuck around in.
i'm american
>>23830212OH YEAH? Name every french fry.
>>23830214wendys
>>23830218He checks out.
There isn't an anchor to shill to. Shall we discuss chatbots instead? I do stat-driven play every few months.Alternative topic: AI genned cards. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being unforgivable and 10 being non-issue, how unforgivable are they?
>>23830223I like playing bots with statboxes, even if very rudimentary. I think 70% of all my private bots have some kind of stat/rpg element to it.
>>23829850Guess I'll just drop the>ANCHORIn case anyone needs it
>>23830223AI genned cards are pretty awful for me because there's something about the cadence of AI output that makes me angry. There's a staid, plodding, predictable rhythm to it that reminds me of the worst garbage in modern lit and journalism and Reddit comments. The human sovl will eventually slough off and the clanker beneath will be revealed, but at least it's nice to hold on for a dozen or two messages. Maybe an 7 or 8, I guess? They can be fun for throwaway sloppa but mostly I'd prefer anything else, even ESL nonsense.
>>23830223Haven't looked into script stuff. How extensive can it be? What's your flow? Can I trigger a roll as part of my post with a template or something? Or do you just make the ai use numbers for things.
>>23830223>stat-driven cardsKino, and allows for the most coherent usage of the more advanced regex and worldbook features from my experience. You just need to eliminate previous instances from the context so that they don't poison it.>AI genned cardsI mean, it depends on how much of it is AI-genned. You could write it all manually at first, have an AI do some quick revisions through specific instructions, then you go over it and polish it manually to take out any isms, inaccuracies, flaws, change the pacing of the info, or etc. Or you could slop it up and have it be entirely AI-genned without a further glance. Maybe a 6? Or 7? Around that.
>>23830224Based.>>23830229I agree. I made my main point in another thread - without human intervention most SOTA models fail to appropriately emphasize the attractive elements of characters. The human element brings a different kind of intentionality and "texture.">>23830230Mine is pretty basic. I have particular interests and status panels help maintain plausibility in unrealistic scenarios for me. Forgive me for not being more specific. There are extensions/scripting tools for more structure but I've barely dabbled in them. I tend to just step in and steer.>>23830234The line between context poisoning and consistency is slim, but I understand your point. I have 0 problem with using AI to ASSIST in writing a card, but a simple prompt -> publish bot is almost never good. If you workshop and test your bot before publishing is it "AI assisted"?
>>23830223AI-genned cards can be okay to have a quick chat with but you compare the way a model writes with something like Lepora to a card made by AI and it's a big difference. 4 just because they're lazy.
>>23830263As a follow-on to this, if I was going to use an AI genned card, I'd rather it be an open-ended MonGirl Help Clinic/Daddy Issue Solver/Zoomer Bride Market type thing. Just let the model do the whole job and give me infinite wives in a fun setting.
>>23830263i agree with your general point but>leporareally?
>>23830252>a simple prompt -> publish bot is almost never goodOh yeah, I'm considering 'AI-Assisted' cards ai-genned just for the sake of the argument because the alternative is just a given lel. Models nowadays are sloppy because of synthetic data, and adding onto that would never work well. I actually had the numbers flipped there, I meant between 3 and 4 in case that caused some confusion.
>>23830268Random example, but models like to follow how many edgy words are in it for at least a few messages, I find. More of a Fennel guy, myself.
>>23830271I phrased the question poorly, no worries. RLHF was a step toward the end, synthetic data is really making things harder to enjoy.
>>23830276>fennelnow that is a bunny i can get behind
>>23830267I do often start larger scenarios with a largely AI draft. It does save time sketching out some of the broad strokes, even if I make a point of rewriting it all myself.
>>23830284What I like about Fennel is that she's not necessarily complex, but that makes it easy to hop into a chat, and to me that's important because I tend to enter slowburns only when I never expect to. The greetings throw you right into fun situations. She's just a cute bunny you can talk to and fuck and I don't need her to be anything more.
>>23830288true, more complex isnt always better but a solid concept with decent execution is really all i needand fennel delivers on both fronts
>only like three retards in here total>one is brazillian ew
Ijust like to curl up into the breasts of a big fox wife and hear her heartbeat as she purrs with joy, softly scratching my hair as her tails surround us both...I think I need to make another greeting.
>>23830297See, you get it. That's how I make bots, too. Am I having fun? Can I see myself using the bot again? If the answer to both is yes, it's good enough.

Going to chat with bots now lads. Please feel free to post more big tiddy fockses.
>>23830223Statboxes and mechanics are really fun in a bot, I feel like I'm more likely to play bots with them then without. Some ai-genned cards can be alright but they tend to have a formulaic style to them, random details that might not seem to directly influence an rp (like detailing a character's favorite sandwich when they're a vampire hunter who doesn't really have time to pop into a subway) really help flesh characters out and make them more interesting and entirely ai-genned cards don't usually have stuff like that. I would say like 6. If you play with a bot enough before you release it then you'll probably add enough silly details to even an ai-genned card to make it at least somewhat worthwhile. Unless you're a chub slopper like me. :3
>>23830374I remember when I could download a card off Chub and have high hopes. I still download from there sometimes, random shit, because it can be really funny. I used to make do with fucking Easun bots.
>>23830374Nice. I really like the brief 'investigation' options you have at the end. I also envy the ability of your eyes to handle that theme. I agree with your points, and I'm glad that we're (largely) past the era where including small details would force them into the chat constantly or be entirely forgotten. Small victories. And, when the mood strikes, there's nothing wrong at all with slopping it up.
