Do you fear old age.

>>23883029i fear wasting my youth
>>23883029yes>>23883063samehmy life is so much waste so far
Eh
>>23883029No. Getting old is literally the least of my fears.
"Each day is a little life: every waking and rising a little birth, every fresh morning a little youth, every going to rest and sleep a little death." Schopenhauer"Some fear death, some anticipate it." Reuahnepohcshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVHU_YWV3e4
>>23883029wdym old?my greatest fear is being in a car wreck because someone wasnt paying attention and completely fucks me
not really. I suppose I would hate not being myself due to dementia or some other disease though.
i loved her so much
I fear dying before my mother does. Pretty much the only reason I maintain some semblance of health
>>23883190my mom once told me a story about my great grandmothermy mom was like 11, her and some other family were visiting my great grandmother in a hospitalshe was excitedly telling them to "look at the two moons" in the sky
>>23883063isnt that technically the same as aging
>>23883029at this rate I will never even reach old age so idc
>>23883029i cant wait to be a based old man
do you ever get tired of talking to yourself on my board
Nope. There's much worse fates than old age or death. Oh no I lose my hair, teeth and my dick stops working. If that's all there is in life to you then you probably should die young.
>>23884745>le based old manStrolling past a mall cafeteria then gazing upon a lonely old man sitting at one of those bar tables with the stools, situated parallel at a main walkway is what initiated this thread. Maybe I superimposed (projected) my innermost insecurities and fears onto the poor geezer, but he had a most childlike expression. Hard to describe it now, but he had such an expression of wonder and curiosity, most of all, a moping kind of expression hungering for conversation. Then I think about all those interaction I have had with old people, especially one with this retired trucker. Then I thought about my dad and how old and wrinkly he has gotten. Doesn't help that I keep looking back to this jog i had the other evening where this stupid long hair manchild was playing with a remote hotwheels car and zoomed that shit right in my direction. I had to quickly shift to uneven ground and jolt onto the walkway again but I overstepped and twisted my ankle. Luckily i applied the entire support on my left leg instead of the twisted one; but i keep recursively thinking...had i been older and weaker, that could have easily been a hospital visit. I fear age more than my mortality.
>>23883029I'm not scared of being old.If you plan your life correctly there is nothing to be scared of.
>>23883029I'm an older Millennial and I used to get crushingly depressed about aging and had several relationships as a younger man since I was good looking and smart enough to make money. After a particularly bad break up I went for years with absolutely no desire for a gf up until an itch developed about 5 years in and that snowballed into absolute crushing depression where I had thoughts of committing sudoku daily. I let myself go physically. What turned me around was the realization that with modern plastic surgery being able to mostly resolve the ravages of getting too fat, so that gave me absolutely massively more positive outlook and that translated to me living at the gym and making more money. Once my transformation is done I figure I can live about 20 years in the dream life doing things my way.
>>23883029The only thing I fear is being unable to be inside of attractive women's bodies. I'm a bit immature this way despite almost mastering stoicism. Being a relentless pervert is probably the one archetype the jew really got me with.
>>23885492The best laid plans of mice and menGotta keep your head on the swivel
>>23885515I hope that you get where you hope to be going my friend. >>23885803You should study Buddhist philosophy. It synergizes with stoicism extremely well. You will be surprised.

>>23883029I am 50 so I can say not really even though I am knee deep in aging and death
>>23886114>I am 50What's your favorite anime, great wizard/larper?
>>23883029Yes. the loss of muscle, energy, and mental strength, trapped in a weak, slow body and mind. The best diet and exercise can not stop it.>>23885023*lost my hair*Fixed that for ya. Or is there more hair to lose we are unaware of?>>23885464Those toys are light. Your instinct should be to kick it next time.
