Caught breaking and entering a federal facility, shot by Capitol Police.

ICE agents are federal law enforcement officials, like the FBI.

Their uniforms clearly say "POLICE". They wear masks because they don't want to spread COVID-19.
>>
>>23888035
Don't they have badges. Law enforcement wear masks all the time. They identify themselves because they are uniformed, they have badge numbers and generally travel in marked vehicles.

None of that is actually relevant from an enforcement standpoint. They wear masks because people will try to identify them so they can attack them in their personal life and potentially to harm them in the future. Federal agents are only required to identify themselves as federal agents post arrest.

you have your Trump blinders on then. Maybe they only mentioned it in passing on NewsMax. Yeah, Trump sent his DOGE kids into the Dept of Education, kicked out the federal employees and started breaking into the computer system. About twenty lawmakers led by Bernie Sanders went over to see what was up and one young guy in a brown shirt outside told them they couldn't go inside. Behind the door were four rent-a-cops with guns.

I guess you missed the first three months of Trump's latest term.

That was ridiculous. They also "accidentally leaked", the identities of a whole bunch of undercover federal agents and assets all over the world and it resulted in a pretty disastrous series of events for those compromised as you'd imagine.

Personally I see all of this disregard for laws and the norm as the same as the rest of the federal overreach over the past 15 years or so. Both sides have engaged in it. It's just been a constant degradation of the integrity of the government itself to push partisan political ends. The leaders of our countries play hot potato with difficult issues and only plan and address for them meaningfully when they are actually happening. It has become about optics, and the party narrative, over everything. This game of hot potato is resulting in a malicious wounding of the state in itself and also it's population in its entirety, to push these party agendas and narratives. Even when it is to the express detriment of the entire country, they choose to put the party above it and follow some vague and largely hollow political doctrine in their response. Rather than actually address these issues and recognize that there are some things we need to be able to get together on to secure a future, they focus on how they can avoid being the ones who has to do the necessary but unpopular thing. It's like a sailor bailing water out of a sinking boat, and stopping because if the boat sinks while he bails he might look bad. Totally irrational. Totally schizophrenic.

As I said earlier, I think that all of it is a sign of general decay. Though decay that has identifiable causes.

Many of the major pressing issues in our societies could have been averted if someone would have just stepped up and handled it 20-25 years ago. It's also not like these things weren't clear, what needed to be done. It was crystal clear. They just focus on keeping the machine running until the next shift takes over. What happens at that point is on the next shift.

Impersonating a police officer is a federal crime.
>>
>>23888121
So it’s either an ICE officer or a criminal, I don’t think that helps the point you’re making here

If you want to bet that the person wearing the uniform is an impersonator, you better be prepared for the consequences.
>>
>>23886739
She didn't know he was a cop
He wouldnt identify himself
He could have been an impersonator
>>
>>23888214
I don’t plan to be that person, but as I’ve said it’s insane to expect people to respect the authority of a force that will not identify themselves and are clearly above accountability for their actions
>>
>>23888225
It's insane to expect them to give their names and show their faces when you know violent communists are actively trying to kill them
>>
>>23888225
They are public servants. They are literally accountable to the public and paid with our taxes, they are our employees. Part of the reason their jobs are so contentious and hostile right now is BECAUSE their operations are being conducted in a lawless, unsafe and unaccountable way. There can be no trust with them when they can and will do whatever they want with no accountability. The DHS has directly created this danger for them by operating their force this way.

If they were required to identify themselves and forced to conduct themselves accountable and act in partnership with communities these issues would not exist. Previous DHS admins have been much more effective at their jobs and were able to do so without these policies. It’s a self-created problem.
>>
>>23888261
How are they supposed to do their jobs when mobs of unhinged communists follow them around everywhere and block their vehicles and assault them constantly?

Also, they can't cooperate with communities because sanctuary city policies make it literally illegal to cooperate with any immigration officer in any way.
>>
>>23888265
Again, DHS has created this hostile environment with their own policy direction this year. If their focus was on actually getting their tasks done instead of providing spectacle and provocation, which seems to be their primary focus, this wouldn’t be an issue. Previous admins were able to conduct very effective ICE operations without any of these problems, what do you think is different now?
>>
>>23888271
>policy direction
wdym?
>>
>>23888494
This isn’t a serious question, and if it is I’ll direct you to google. Specifically I am talking about being masked, providing no identification, refusing to follow normal immigration policy and court decisions, and also obviously a significant ramping up of their use of force and violence.
>>
>>23888523
>masked, providing no identification
I just explained why they do that.
>>23888523
>refusing to follow normal immigration policy and court decisions
I have no idea what the hell you're talking about. The people they are deporting have been literally ordered deported by a judge.
>>23888523
>significant ramping up of their use of force and violence.
Because there's been a significant ramping up of the use of force and violence against them by deranged leftist lunatics. Did you forget that ICE officers have been ambushed, shot and wounded multiple times? It's a fucking miracle none of them have gotten killed.
>>
>>23888717
Once again you’re ignoring everything I’ve said and blaming the wrong group for responding reasonably to lawlessness and lack of accountability. Previous admins were much more effective at deportations and did so with minimal controversy and without all these measures. DHS needs to reboot their policies to get rid of all this shit, re-establish the trust of the communities they’re working in, and focus on results over spectacle or things are just going to continue to escalate. But from my perspective the escalation is probably the point.
>>
>>23888736
So it's their fault they're getting shot?
>>
nigger thread
>>
i miss the game "ark: survival evolved"
>>
>>23888766
They’re doing more shooting of other people than getting shot at, but I think most of the blame ultimately lies with DHS and the administration pushing policy that erodes public trust in the organization and puts these guys in harm’s way for very little current benefit.
>>
