Ever notice how it hurts more when you see someone of your own race suffering?Like, white people feel it more with white victims, black with black, etc.Even adoption patterns kinda show it – most people adopt kids that match their own ethnicity (white adopting white, black adopting black, etc).Just coincidence or is tribal instinct baked into our brains?Thoughts?
broadly cultural one would imagine, with "race" being entirely a cultural concept as wellfor instance, a culture that values profit-driven atomization of individuals and families (and whose theostructural basis rejects the natural world, ie: their depictions of dey savior is incongruous with the ethnic profile of the society in which he belonged) would be less empathetic than a culture that cultivates strong familiar/societal bonds and understands that humans are inseparable from the natural world (for good or ill), because empathy (being able to relate to others) is valuable in that it fosters cohesion and cooperation.worth noting that the former culture, in particular instances, idolizes profit-motivated bros who explicitly espouse empathy as a vice, so as to further atomization (with fun things like increased violence, inability to ascertain actual causes of social issues, and widespread malaise) and safeguard/increase excessive wealth.in general ofchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKJV8xyy9Xg
>>23912121race isn't entirely cultural at all, that's insanitythe traditional anthropological categories, i.e. Caucasoid, Negroid, Mongoloid, Australoid, etc.—the races—have been validated by empirical findingsif something can be objectively tested for, using scant few chromosomal loci, and that thing found to correspond to a very real population cluster, then how on Earth can you claim it's entirely cultural?it's genetic fact
>>23911914Tribal instinct is real but doesn't necessarily need to be divided by racial lines. "The tribe" can be multiple races unified by some common thing and in general is just some commonality. It can be nationality, a football team, ideology, ect. You feel your identity is connected to your race so that's why you feel like drawing the line there.
>>23911914Reminds me of that one that rape where they both ended up in acid barrelsBlack ppl are evilBut to stay on topic, the yakuza rape incident hits hard. It's not all racialBtw go look how many "muh poor blackie slavery" movies there are, there's an over-abundance of empathy for blacks at this point. You guys even rioted for months over one dying of an overdose
