as a matter of fact yes there is a way.
first check the surface texture of the spaghetti. if it's "bronze-cut" or has a rough texture then you might be screwed.
regular spaghetti is smooth so we can wash the germs off more easily.

So you want to just grab a bundle and tap it on the countertop to dislodge bugs and their dried feces. repeat with the rest of it. Call a pasta inspector and he's going to use his microscope to check the integrity of each piece, and separate the good spaghetti from the compromised pieces.

let it all sit in an olive oil bath overnight to soak up the nutrients it needs. then run it through your pasta cleaner with a spaghetti brush head rated for the appropriate diameter of your noodles. shouldn't need any extra oil

autoclave on 30psi, 190°c for 20 minutes and call a spaghetti restorer/detailer to lathe each piece back to the level of polish it had before and re-box it. it'll become angel hair pasta so adjust your recipes and cook time accordingly

and I'll say too this conversation should probably stay between just you and me ;)

thank you for this invaluable information. I have just checked all my boxes of barilla one noodle at a time under a microscope and they appear to be weevil free.
while this comes as a great relief to me I think at this point it would be premature to assume the thread is truely free from spaghetti weevils. they could be lurking in any other anons precious wheaty strings of spaghetti-y goodness so we must remain on high alert.
I dont suppose as our newly appointed spaghetti weevil expert theres anything you could suggest that we may use to repel there nefarious wee beasties and prevent them from infecting our precious spagets?
>>
>>23994716
I'm no expert lol, I just know where to look for info because I'm a 'sturminator with access to SpagGPT.
That is probably the most weevilish weevil I have ever seen. it looks like a whirling dervish.
So you want to cleanse the entire thread to make sure the weevils don't take over again?
stick the whole thing in the freezer for a week and I guarantee there will be none left.
why? because the eggs. freeze the eggs and they will never hatch weevils or anything else frankly.
If you go down this route, make sure you bundle up in a puffy and eat only sealed food from outside (such as MREs or astronaut ice cream)

I tried to make spaghetti again and stubbed my toe really bad so I got so fucking pissed I slammed a 750ml of jack daniels and ended up puking in the fridge and the water was boiling and I put my hand into it thinking that maybe it would sober me up and I screamed and howled in agony and flailed around on the floor and the downstairs neighbors called the cops on me and they showed up at gunpoint and tried to shoot me but just laughed after I started crying and now I'm on the floor in a puddle of luke-warm water so fucking pissed and my night is ruined

tasty time
>how do you like the thinkpad keyboard, do you ever use the red nub?
i pretty much only use the tracpoint now
there are pros and cons, but it's basically just as usable as a regular mouse
probably took about 3-4 months before i could use it as quickly as an external mouse, but it was worth it, much less finicky
the biggest annoyance is probably the repetitive stress being delegated to a single finger, instead of your whole wrist/elbow like with a regular mouse, but it's not very bad anyway
i occasionally plug in an external mouse for gaming or whatever, it's ever-so-slightly more precise at fast speeds
it's fun quickly moving/flicking the cursor with a tracpoint lol
>>
>>23995755
looks good, thank you for your consistent repeated contributions to spaghetti tuesday <3
seeing that thinkpad reminded me of these weird keyboards I saw on aliexpress that were basically a plastic replica of the lower half of a thinkpad lol. I wonder what the purpose of them is, probably for people that are so used to using a thinkpad that a normal desktop keyboard slows them down xD

i thought you meant the lower half of the part which sits flat on a table/lap, disregarding the LCD

i think the ones IBM sold were like the upper half of the bottom part of the laptop, basically the keyboard & mouse buttons, but without the wrist rest
i should just get a picture..

the keyboard i have is the TEX shinobi, it has a pretty simple, durable design which is easy to clean/fix, and it's nice because mechanical keyboard switches of your choosing
you can even buy an un-soldered board & put your own wacky keyboard switches in there lol
it's pretty bulky/big, that's the only thing

that's another thing
for as controversial as chiclet/membrane keyboards are, about 20-25% of the top competitive typing people i met used an external APPLE chiclet keyboard specifically

i find chiclet keyboards very hit-or-miss, and some designs can be weird/fucky
some of them are great though
i just like my mechanical brown switches because i know exactly what to expect when i press a key lol

i had a friend who typed pretty fast & hard, he always brought this RGB cherry MX blue keyboard (the clicky switches) to LAN parties
it was kinda distracting

there are a few keyboard layouts/configurations for old thinkpads, i tend to prefer the normal rectangular enter key on the american layout

>decaf coffee as a spaghetti digestif
tasty for you. I wish decaf tea wasnt so crap,
coffee is better as a digestif tho.
>table to play RTS strategy games
I was thinking it was for strategy games. I'm not rlly into gaming but I still wouldn't mind a table with a screen in it xD
>I remember u gave some advice about urbex
yeah i rember. is there anywhere near u that might be good? there's a shit ton of places for it here because all the industry died so there's abandoned factories everywhere. I once went to a rave at an abandoned asylum xD
>I would think someone would make new ones with enough demand
I doubt it'll ever happen. I think the only CRTs that are still being made are the tiny ones for oscilloscopes.
>wtf D:<
yeah, the sad part is a huge amount of the ones that got sent there where from charities that wanted to help african countries modernize.
I was telling my sister about this and she thought I was just being racist but its really what happened. well meaning europeans and americans sent millions of computer towers and CRT monitors to africa and the backwards savages just destroyed them to get the miniscule amounts of gold from the circuits.
huge areas of west africa are now pretty much permanently contaminated with carcinogens and other nasty shit because of the practice of mass importing e-waste to burn that exists now that the charities have stopped sending them puters.

>i find chiclet keyboards very hit-or-miss, and some designs can be weird/fucky
at work im rocking the MX Keys S, love this keyboard but the apple ones are good also
i hate that i sound kinda like a fanboy saying that, and im not an apple simp...but they do have some good products
>i just like my mechanical brown switches because i know exactly what to expect when i press a key lol
there are totally different things for diff people, im no hater and they're still good even if they're different
not one to hop on the hater bandwagon, i do think the itoddler /g/ meme is pretty funny and it upsets the overly sensitive in a very hilarious way (im a bit crazy lol)
