Yes, this political because we are officially in a depression, and I'm looking to depression food max.

Do people eat this stuff? Is it fit for human consumption? Seems like more of euro food thing

Even cats don't eat that shit, it smells like puke. Sprats are good though if they are somewhere outside of Baltics.
>>

Sardines used to be delicious before COVID and the fitness influences started recommending them, now they are inedible trash. I don't know if they are overfished or imported or what, but they are garbage.
>>

My cats love canned tuna though
>>
>>24094825
Whats it taste like?

>>24094823
Potato gnocchi is a pretty good depression food. Its easy to make. Ive been making a lot of dutch babies too. Good cheap food. Need to branch out into egg heavy brit puddings like the colonists made. You can look up colonial recipes and theyre all good depression dishes. Egg maxx in what you cook
>>
>>24094826
fish labeled "sardines" that come from the northsea or baltic sea are just sprats
>>
>>24094830
Its drier than sushi eel but in a very similar brown sugar like sauce, bones left in but easy to chew and digest with no issues. I'd eat more of it if it weren't $4 per tin. Also the shape makes it difficult for can openers to cut through the whole thing, sometimes you only get like half of it cut open. Fucking chinks.

the average person who had a job during the depression made enough money to buy a house in cash in two years

we're in much worse than a depression, except that unemployment is slightly lower

That costs you extra goyim!

Wrong . Sorry anons. They're actually farming salmon. Ultimately it tastes like fish ass. I bought a can of pink chink salmon & it was awful.
>>
>>24094823
Prettt dope cheap protein source, plus of some other great stuff like “healthy fats” and B-vitamins depending on the fish.
Unfortunately weve fucked up the oceans so eating them too much can lead to mercury bioaccumulation in your body and whatever other toxins or heavy metals, so by some health recommendations they say you should only eat certain types of fish/seafood like 3 times a week or something. You can get safer organic ones from fish farms or wherever but of course that can become pricier again, defeating the point

geee wonder why, and what wasn't happening during the Great Depression.

We don't hate the socialist leftists enough for importing millions of third worlders with sub 100 IQs.

We think we hate them enough, but we don't.

Polar is great for people who are fans of smoke. I haven't had any other smoked canned fish that has that much smoke flavor. 8/10 in my book.
>>
>>24094839
No difference. I bet it's still in goybean oil

I'm poor with out a refrigerator (long story). I'll list what I get and some of the prices.

here's the guide:
Jars of pasta sauce $1.50-$3
dry pasta $0.50 - $2
dry bags of tortalini $2.50
dry packs of gnoochi $1.75
canned corned beef $2.89
jars of gravy $1.50 - $3
flour $4
baking powder $2
baking soda
olive oil
honey
sugar
various packs of meat depending whats on sale if you don't mind salt or fat. If they have awful gravy or sauce on the meat you can rinse the meat then heat it in a pan with your own seasoning

canned tuna (skip jack is the best) most other tuna are all the same quality so go with the cheapest option

protein pancake mixes and protein powder stretch a lot as well.
eggs
if you don't mind salt pickled sauage and pickled eggs already made helps stretch protein.

oatmeal
rice
quinoa
peanut butter
jelly
crackers
potatoes
shelf stable milk if you can afford it
condensed milk

oh and fat niggers get unlimited food stamps to guzzle copius amounts of seed oils and corn syrup while being kept alive by our medical system as long as possible before they graciously expire
so now a single visit to a hospital costs an entire months paycheck tanking your credit score so youll die on the street not even able to rent if you could somehow magically afford it
>>
>>24094843
But theb again if im spending 4 for a small tin of fish, why not spend the 2 extra dollars for a whole rotisserie chicken?

I went through a period where I was unemployed and just ate sardines and white rice for like 5 months with hot sauce. It was rough but I survived. Now I survive on eggs, bread, cheese, beef jerky, and choccy milk.

My go-to is King Oscar sardines in olive oil. I'll usually heat up some marinara sauce, season it with a bit of oregano, crushed red pepper, salt, and parmesan cheese, maybe boil some pasta. The acidity of the tomato cuts the fishiness of the sardines rather nicely.

I'm a caretaker for my mother who developed metastatic breast cancer. I'm unemployed because I care for her. The state won't pay me, they won't pay for her to have a caretaker and they won't give me anything other than medical (thank Christ for that). I spent four months fighting to get my mother approved for food stamps. After going through all kinds of red tape and bull shit they approved. She now receives a whole $24 in food stamps a month.

I hate nigger, I hate kikes, and I hate the kikes bureaucratic sniveling little white asshole traitors who get off on lording over their own white brothers while helping all flavors of shitskin drain this country.

>with out a refrigerator
You should consider a mini-freezer atleast, to stock french fries and pierogies, they are great poor people foods.
(though i suppose you could just make fries yourself)

Also frozen fruit for smoothies, though they arent dirt cheap, will prevent you from dieing of nutrient deficiency.
>jars of gravy $1.50 - $3
Gravy is super easy to make, for cheaper, with just a little powder bouillon, flour and starch.

Most dirt cheap pink salmon around these parts, says "product of Taiwan" on it.
To my understanding, it isnt actually fish from taiwan, its caught or farmed over here, then shipped overseas to be canned, and then shipped back here.
(because for some reason thats cheaper than canning it ourselves lmao)

I call it "Taiwan Tuna-Salmon", because it tastes more like tuna, than it does like salmon.
>>
i tried canned fish because of you faggots the other day. It was just shitty fish smothered in oil. This is literally slop.

my mom was turned into a vegetable by the covid vax and even though my dad left her a million dollars just a year before (who also died of turbo cancer suddely after the covid vax), she pissed it all away sold the house and let her nigger caretaker steal all her money and run off back to her third world country while i struggled to find a job and she could barely ever give me anything for food for the past year and i constantly went hungry because the nigger was stealing everything she had
our family finally discovered it and reported her to the authorities and they just let her get on a plane and fly back to her shitty 3rd world country
icing on the cake is the nigger started stealing christmas presents from my mom and my sisters family because my mom had no more money left to steal
and right before she fled, my mom fell on the floor and the niggerbitch refused to pick her up, i had to drive 15 miles just to go pick her up off the ground, im not very big but i picked my mom up effortlessly like a baby and set her down in the bed while the worthless nigger stood there with her arms crossed
she went from pretending to being nice while stealing my families fortune to just being a worthless entitled bitch who did nothing because my mom ran out of money for her to steal

Maybe just my brand of choice. I used to eat 2-4 cans a day of Brunswick Herring. Some time after 2019 they changed the ingredients from "herring" to "sardines" and the quality fell off a cliff... not just flavor, appearance as well. I pick up a can every few months hoping they'll get back to form, but nope.
>>
Water cracker, creme fresh(from trader joes), canned tuna, pickled red onion, capers. I think that's all I use but you can add acutramont.
