I'm Jewish and they took us there when I was 16 so early 2000s and the tour guide launched into a story about how he escaped and I guess said he was a captive and pointed to the river he fled on it was very dramatic I dunno how real it was I guess it would be unrealistic now given the age of people who survived. It was just like a very basic summer camp looking place I think anything specific or original didn't survive. And the lunch they gave us that day was AWFUL. The hotel food in Poland wasn't bad they had this I wanna say carrot and raisin slaw at every meal that wasn't bad. I wonder if they make all the guides tell you they were prisoners and escaped or if that was just a luck thing.
