In Europe fast food is opening a can of sardines and eating from the can with a fork. In America fast food is cardiovascular wrecking and cancer causing shit like McDonalds. Americans would be much healthier if they changed their idea of what fast food is.

Didn't canned fish contain enormous amounts of mercury? lol
>>
>>24134386

>>
>>24134388
Not the small fish, no. Mercury accumulates in larger and larger fish as it moves up the food chain. Besides, mercury poisoning might actually make the modern world more tolerable.

>In Europe fast food is opening a can of sardines and eating from the can with a fork
no
>>
>>24134389
Palm and peanut oil still make up the bulk of cooking oils there. In Europe it's almost exclusively either rapeseed (canola), palm, sunflower or olive oil.
>>
>>24134383
Olive oil? Get the ones with tomato sauce for god's sake.

>>24134389
My favourite Asian country: Norway.

>>24134391
I ate this exact brand of tinned fish (with tomatoes) as recently as 2 days ago.
>>
>>24134383
Here's my current diet:
>natural greek yoghurt, with a mix of ground flax, chia, sunflower, and pumpkin seeds, and a glass of unsweetened fortified almond milk
>spinach, rocket, lettuce, peashoots, watercress, plum tomatoes, cucumber, black olives, two boiled eggs, tinned pink salmon (with skin and bones)/tinned mackerel in springwater
>broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, scrambled egg, cottage cheese, and chicken breast/turkey mince/beef mince/steak
It's cheap, easy, varied, and gives a lot of protein and fat without overdoing calories. You can add in some whey powder for heavy lifting days periods.
>>
>>24134383
I'd rather die of a heart attack at 50 than eat whatever the fuck this shit is

Sardines is actually really good but nothing beats Stabburet Makrell. Macerel in tomato sauce. Not only do you get extremely strong by eating it but you turn into a dangerous pirate with unlimited strenght.
I had a few boxes a few weeks ago and before I knew it I had siezed a russian oil tanker along with a $50 gift card at Amazon.
Going to buy 10 boxes this weekend before i head to Hormuz. Dont worry about gas prices. They be $2 at the pump when I'm done down there.

>>

>>
>>24134399
True britfren.
Mackerel used to be cheap as hell here 15 years ago. You could buy the biggest ones for about £1. Now it cost about £4-5 all depending on where you go and the boxes has become far smaller. Almost no Mackerel either and ton of tomato sauce. You open the boxes now and its no more than 50% fish and the rest tomato.
>>
You people are disgusting

Yeah, it sucks. On the plus side buying the higher end brands of food in general has become more attractive because their prices have gone up less, and their quality has gone down less. In America, fast food is whatever you choose because the abundance here is nearly limitless. You can choose to be a fat slop eating turd or you can choose to eat healthy and have some self respect. Also in America, most people can afford to choose and eat whatever they want. Unlike Europe where your only choice is what Americans feed their cats for a treat. Not that they could afford any other option even if it were available.
>>
>>24134407
That is one of the side effects. Usually it comes after box number two.

>>24134409
Yeh. True. I like going to Spar and Meny because they have some pretty good stuff. Rema and Coop has become boring. Coop Extra is even more expensive than Meny and Spar on many products too.
I like go fishing myself and I once tried to make Macerel in tomato sauce myself but does not taste the same. I put it in the frying pan and put Idun on it but felt more like apocalypse food than good food.

The idea of it is a lot scarier than the reality.

>Yea I'm still not OK with eating a fish with all its scales and shit
You can get the boneless/skinless versions, but even with the whole ones you usually don't even notice it.
Canned sardines and mackerel aren't any weirder to eat than canned tuna (but taste better and are healthier for you and have a less gross texture than most canned tuna).
99.9% of the time when people think canned sardines are gross or that they don't like them, they're usually just getting them confused with anchovies, which are totally different. Anchovies are the very strong tasting salty/fishy ones with little bones that occasionally people put on pizza.

Sugar is in everything here. Even the bread. Mc Donalds is bio engineered food. It's worse than sugar. It tastes good because it was scientifically created in a laboratory to. Their food is full of salt and artificial bioengineered ingredients. That's why a normal hamburger made up of ground beef with lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, ect tastes entirely different than a hamburger from mc donalds. Mc donalds is like what food in heaven must taste like. It looks exactly like the real thing but tastes 100x better.

I usually throw them on a sandwich with pickles and mayo
now slightly related I read an article this morning while waiting for everyone to grab parts / get ready to leave the shop this morning and it said
"Mayo is ruining your tuna salad!"
and my initial thought was, ??? because, mayo/tuna/pickle? thats the minimum(I make it as sardine salad with onion and boiled eggs mixed in)
So naturally I continued reading to find out what the author meant. The author made several suggestions, most notable "plain greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and tzatziki"
I have decided that this weekend I will try the first 2 of those and see how it tastes in comparison
last week I tried frozen blueberries because the lying bitch of an author said they were better than fresh.

True, but the wages earned are way, way higher than the rest of the developed world. My cost of living is less than 1/3 of my paycheck. 1/3 being almost 4,000 a month. 2,500sq ft house on 20 acres. I eat higher end than average.

Literal retard tier thinking. You’ve never been to the U.S. the only thing you know is from trolling shit post sites like this. You have a Hollywood understanding of a country you’ve never been to and most likely can’t afford to go too. The there are states in the U.S. bigger than any country in Europe. The place is so big it takes a week do drive across and you’ll likely run into 4 or 5 separate dialects on the way. It’s not our fault it’s easy to grow fat here. Food is cheap, sweets are cheaper. Beef is cheap enough you can eat it every day if you wanted. Also, fruits and veggies come in a huge variety. The fruit and veggie section in my local store is bigger than most grocery stores in Europe. We have mangos, guava, pawpaws, strawberries, bananas, passion fruit, citrus of a dozen varieties, 6 kinds of grapes, 12 varieties of apples, watermelon. We even have had that nasty ass Durian fruit from time to time making me wonder who the fuck eats that shit! Veggie section always has so much shit I’m not even sure what it all is. Most stores are like this. Hard to believe in Europe I know.

Nah you are right tho. A lot of the food here is really shit. Its a topic that keep on going on a lot up here. Food quality has fallen a lot and the cost of it is horrible.

Thanks fren. I love Spain. So many beautiful places and nice people. Plus its warm and sunny and here its the opposite :/

Get some real milk and yogurt, you know, with fat... also that bread could be better but i know in america ( where your picture is from) good bread simply does not exist. Maple syrup is literal poison, natural honey is much better. I will pretend that i didnt see the rice cakes...

Go home mehmet. You are not fit to live among humans

I woud also advise them to get their meats from real butchers instead of buying supermarketslop but maybe it's a richfags thing back there ?

Absolutely, it would be better to have a reputable butcher you know. But in america that simply doesnt exist, at least in the west coast, which i am pretty aure that picture is from.
In the west coast, little family butcher shops dont exist. Its just big corporations.
>>
>>24134508
Yes. They are desperate for a taste of testosterone. Poor little faggots can barely lift a 30 stone box. And by they, I mean the entirety of Europe. Every single man that exists there. All low T weak stream limp-wristed queers
>>
>>24134519
I mean im probably exaggerating of course, but you would have to drive 2 hours to find one.
I really feel bad for americans, i literally got sick for months when i was living there. Chronic diarreah until i adjusted to the goyslop.

They wouls fix many issues if they stopped using these bizarre cooking oil abominations. I thought all my life that you could cook with olive oil and lard... high fat sunflower oil if you are poor ...
In america the have really weird ultra processed oils from weird ass seeds from hell. They make you sick.
I understand that olive oil is not achievable for them because they doont produce it domestically, but i wouls suggest to the american friends here to go back to their roots and cook with lard. Lard is healthy and good. These industrial oils are poison and they are killing you guys.
>>
>>24134471
That's olive oil. For real human beans, as opposed to soibean oil, which is for animals.

They actually eat better in China. I tried lots of random restaurants in Beijing including ones where nobody spoke a word of anything except chink so I had to make signs to order, and while they do add a lot of random bullshit to everything I ate a lot of seafood, innards, cow, duck and pig, always with a hefty portion of varied vegetables I didn't even know existed, and my health was slightly improved all in all. Lost some weight and got leaner and more alert.
The worst thing we have in Europe is wheat. It makes you sleepy and down vut it's so good.
If we replaced wheat with rice we would be golden.
Never been to the US btw but lived in Canada for 6 months, which is apparently a slightly less bad US and I lost the joy of eating after like 3 days there.
They even make pasta taste bad by using some sort of ketchup bullshit as base.

I find eating whole, small creatures, highly immoral. A shrimp cocktail is essentially a mass grave. I'm not some vegan pussy, just kill one cow and feed dozens, don't snuff out 60 lives for a few savory bites.

The thing is, you wheat is processed too, they bleach it or some weird shit, it is also a transgenic abomination.
The maple syrup, the natural one, is not terrible, in moderation. But why eat something processed when nature gives you honey and you can it eat just like that without any industrial or chemical process? Honey is literally medicine bro.

I unno what you smonked anon sama but.. I mean the fishies are super healthy but.. horribly disgusting. I love fish and shrimp and octopus and frog but those are not edible.
Also that's not fast food. Fast food is pommes, Schnitzel, Bratwurst, Döner, Pizza, etc... basically the unhealthiest things one can eat.
Is tasty tho..
>>
>>24134919
It could be fish shortages. In some waters around my country, deenz fishing was outright banned or limited for several years to allow the deenz population to regrow.
>>
>>24134704
Fair, it's frankenwheat but it's sourdough and organic so it's not really all that bad. I eat ancient grains somewhat often too, such as buckwheat, barley, lentils, einkhorn etc... Syrup is just boiled and filtered, no real processing going on there. I do eat plenty of raw local honey, more than i eat syrup and raw cheese tho ;)
>>
>>24134938
Maybe. Even a short-term shortage could be devastating to a product line. We're pretty stable on fishing quotas, got a whole-ass fight with the EU regarding it. But we can't talk about that or we get sent back to /pol/.

Something that is difficult to explain as a Norwegian to people from large countries such as the US, UK, etc; we can lose entire product lines because no one bought them. As in there's pallets of the shit sitting around and the factory stops the line to not overflow, and never starts it back up. Many products dies for years at a time because of that phenomenon. Imagine if Coca Cola stopped selling because too much was left on the store shelves so they just move on to making Fanta and because Fanta kept selling they never stopped. Kippers might just be dead because they ended the line a year before I even started clearing out their stock.

Small country problems.

>>

maybe you have an intolerance or something idk
>>
>>24135185
I don't think it's an intolerance. I just find the taste so eww that I feel eww afterwards. Even things fried in olive oil make me feel that way.
>>
>>24135199
you are just a picky eater then in your own way.
frogs are fine but olive oil is too yucky.
I'm like this with certain foods too like raw celery
>>
>>24135203
Frogs are tasty and make me feel good.
I eat lots of things.. sea creatures, sea plants, wild animals, some organs.. not long ago had rabbit kidney, yummy...
There are only 2 things that make me gag and feel sick. Pork and olive oil. With pork I only need to smell it and start gagging uncontrollably. Eating it means I am in bed for 2hrs feeling sick inside. Olive oil gives me the sick too but less extreme.
