>>24176805I feel bad for you OP. Wholeheartedly. Here in Kiwiland if you have student loan debt, then the NZ government only puts interest on it if you go to another country. I guess the logic is that if you can afford to go on overseas holiday or move to another country, then you can afford to pay some interest. But as long as you stay in the country, you'll only owe whatever amount you actually borrowed. There's no endless interest cycle. I paid back my student loan debt before I turned 30. And it was easy.
