So they put me in a small windowless room every week or so, often with other kids (there were maybe three of us), and tried to teach us how to act in social situations. Explaining the relationships between people and what to call them. How to respond to good or bad things as well as deal with anger. How to get along.

The woman who talked to us now manages the local doctor's office.
