If it makes you feel better, 4chan is also not what I want it to be, but it's been in slow decline for at least a decade and a half and it's run by people who have neither the means nor inclination to improve it, so I just enjoy what I can and ignore the rest.

It definitely feels like a 2000s era laptop, due to having a slightly more square monitor than "modern" laptops (reminiscent of the old 4:3 aspect ratio.) The resolution is low, but it's extremely speedy and responsive, especially considering how old it is. I like how the hard drive can be accessed by unscrewing just one screw. Very easy to repair, or simply swap out if I want to temporarily switch to a different OS.The L430 definitely feels like more of a "modern" laptop than the X200, due to being much wider and having a 16:9 screen.
