i am beyond depressed.
>>24343999why anon? What happened? Also checked
>>24344001...
>>24344022I'd give you a hug if I could. Good luck out there man
Its been a nice weekend. Lots of work, but other than that its been good. Will probably go to business trip in a couple of days or so. How have you been?
>>24345983you work on the weekends too? I think I'd struggle not to have clean breaks every 5 days...I've been very busy because I was playing music for a local dance group, it was quite nice and I met with quite a few nice people. I wish it wasn't sunday night already, half of my team at work is missing and the load is quite heavy so I'm not impatient to be tomorrow
>>24346019My schedule is a bit out of place. Sometimes it can be work for a fortnite and then no work for a few weeks straight. I will probably be travelling thousnads of miles in a few days, but its somehing I am looking forward to.How is your music career going? I am genuimly happy to see you again and to hear you are still striving for your passion. That is inspiring.
>>24346097I see some things don't change and I'm guessing you're still in the same line of work as you were! In which area of the world are you going this time?I'm surprised you remember about music at all, I sincerely don't remember exactly how much I sperged about that before but I guess probably too muchI have a gazillion projects running at the same time and I'm quite happy with all of them! I have currently 3-4 electronic music projects that I actively work under, and I picked up one acoustic instrument I became decent at, and I wish I had the time and motivation to learn a second one (I have bought both a bass and a oboe but I haven't been working on either for months). My yearly goal was to publish 2 CDs of my music and it's already achieved, and I might even end up with 3 if things go smoothly.I'm happy to see you again too! Can't believe it has been so long... What's up on your side? Besides traveling for work
journal update was madeanyone else journals?
>>24346184>In which area of the world are you going this timeBeijing, my beloved city of autumn. But I am very often there these days, although there are a few other cities I need to visit this time. And May is not the best time for Beijing trips, but its better than middle of summer anyway. Had a planned trip to Europe as well, but its going to be complicated.>I'm surprised you remember about music at allWhy, of course I do. You even dropped a couple of tracks here composed by you and they might have even had some lyrcis if I recall correctly.>My yearly goal was to publish 2 CDs of my music and it's already achieved, and I might even end up with 3 if things go smoothly.Congratulations! This sounds like collosal work. I do not know all that much about music, but 2-3 whole CDs in a year must be a huge deal. Keep up the work, make /bant/ proud ;)
>>24348681Is China good? I want to visit eventually but I'm a bit scared of the language barrier. Which cities would you recommend? I was mostly attracted by Guangzhou and Shanghai Honestly I'm an amateur and as such, I don't spend the hundreds of hours that pros put in making each track, master, packaging, everything all perfect and neat. I just want to get things done and move onto the next projects. So sure it's work, but it's not as impressive as it sounds! Thanks a lot though. I guess I should try to look back at what I accomplished more often, but I'm trying my best to always move forward
I went to an anime con and saw and took pictures with lots of cosplayers id kill to be with.was too much of a pussy to start an actual conversation.I have no problem aproaching them to ask for photos together but when it comes to making small talk im just clueless. Now i feel even lonelier than ever.
>>24349465ah I used to attend quite a few cons and I always got post-con depression after them! Albeit not from willing to date cosplayers, but just because I always had very positive social experiences and they always end so abruptely!Maybe you can join some local weeb chatgroup and you'd be more at ease talking through a computer than IRL at first? And then you'd meet with them at the next con while already knowing them a little?
>>24343977went to Cedar Point.
>>24349478what's that anon?
>>24349609Large amusement park along the Lake Erie shore in Ohio. One of the greatest coaster/thrill ride parks in the world.
>>24349628sounds fun! I hope it was a nice weekend
>>24349286China is amazing, but its hard to recommend where to go exactly because any place there big or small is a delight. So, I can give many hints, but if we are sticking to just the main places, I’d say it like so:>GuangzhouDefinitely one of the best places to see in China, although might not be for everyone. Its great if you want to see Canton as it is with all its crowded yet chill life and the unbelievable amount of commerce going on. Not as clean as some other big cities, but its a city with a wonderful warm soul, which you can feel despite its sheer size. Its also one of those cities that are impossible to grasp, they are China-size, there is nothing like that anywhere else. You think you can just explore it like a normal city, but then you realize there is just no end o it and wherever you walk you discover something new.>ShanghaiA great start, especially if you want to start out easy without a deep dive into Chinese specifics. Its very tourist-friendly, very easy to navigate and much more Western than other Chinese cities. Lots of great places to see in the center and many hidden gems around its outskirts (if you know).>HangzhouLocated just 1-2 hours away from Shanghai... it might be the best place in the world. The place is indescribable and I am not sure where to begin talking about it. They say that in the sky there is haven, but here on Earth we have Hangzhou and Suzhou. I couldn't agree more.>BeijingNow this is a place you would like to visit only if you want to feel the soul of the Chinese Empire, not of Chinese culture. Its a place that was created to show people how insignificant they are before the might of the Chinese state and it accomplishes it very well. Most people do not like it for this exact reason - it oppresses you with its geography and scale. One can say the whole city is the philosophical extension for the Forbidden City at its center. I lived there for a long time, so I do love it, but I can see why many don't.
>>24348466Nice. I do journal, but digitally for privacy reasons.
>>24351094do you think it's more secure digitally? Also I'm more scared of my hard drive / cloud storage getting unreadable than my physical journal burning>>24350765thanks a lot for the overview! I didn't know about Hangzhou but you made me want to see it too... I'll go there if I have the occasion togood night anon
can't rememberthis >>24343999 though
