WTF has happened there?
Also: can any kiwis shed light on how "important" it is apparently to spell Maori words "correctly"? Doing research after this I came across a magazine grovelling for not using "macrons" in writing Maori words in the past, they even compared it to genocide kek
Id rather they go for a different writing system like those syllabics some Indian tribes in Canada use, they look pretty badass, like something from Star Trek or some shit
