i don't know much about it honestly. i just know that the 2ch textboard style is aright, i just dislike the brick background which i'm not even sure 2channel even uses because i've never actually been on the website. i've just inferred that because other textboards have inherited 2ch's style

i've heard that hiroyuki used 2ch for data mining and adverts but idk
