the USA has been in a great depression since 2008. Do you think the people in the last great depression actually understood they were living in one? Or was it an ad hoc realization decades later.

The bbb extension of the jobs act is tax cuts. I forget the name of the chart/phenomenon but there is a sort of sweet spot for marginal taxation and irrc its around 20%, going high or lower than the sweet spot leads to less overall revenue. It was never going to balance out though. They calculated the UK trade deal put on the entire world would generate 800B.
That is less than Trumps deficit spending. Even if he doubled it magically it fuck up trade but still be far below income tax.
More than anything the biggest issue is the borderline communist old person welfare state. It's insane to me how few people actually know where the money is spent and thought Musk could cut costs. Government services have never been smaller, its transfer payments to old people, intrest payments to bond holders (old people), and protecting the old person welfare state.

If you are not a trader, fine. Because I've read quite something about outages, like for example early April, people not being able to sell or buy because of high volatility. Also, they use different banks for where they keep your money. In my case I think my account's money is stored at a Deutsche Bank account.

>The company advertises that it passes on the European Central Bank's current deposit rate on all deposits that can be canceled on a daily basis on a one-to-one basis. The high interest rate is also possible because Trade Republic investing some of the money in money market funds. These are investment funds that invest, for example, in money market securities and bonds with short terms. These securities usually offer attractive interest rates, but do not offer the protection of statutory deposit insurance.

Trade Republic writes about it: "The introduction of money market funds makes it possible for all Trade Republic customers to have unlimited time and no upper limit from the current one ECB- interest can benefit." Translated, this means: The comparatively high interest rates on the checking account are sometimes "purchased" with a slightly higher risk.

>Trade Republic stores its customers’ balances at three partner banks. This is Deutsche Bank, JP. Morgan and HSBC Continental Europe. These funds are protected by statutory deposit insurance of up to 100,000 euros per customer.

>However, Trade Republic invests part of its assets in money market funds. These amounts are not covered by statutory deposit insurance. The amount that flows into money market funds varies from customer to customer. Customers can see the exact amount in their app in the "Cash" section. On the question of the security of the investment, the company writes: "Money market funds invest in highly liquid, short-term financial products such as cash, as well as government and corporate bonds with high credit ratings."

That does not sound good...

I do also have Trading212, IBKR and Revolut, but neither of them have the same thingy with the card.

Trading212 is nice, but somewhat limited stock selection.

IBKR doesn't have commision free trading and to trade anything you need to go through the shame ritual.

Revolut is no longer commision free, you have to pay at least 1€ per trade...

Yeah, I also was looking for alternatives, but I don't know if it can go lower in price, they are pretty much the cheapest with "Finanzen Zero" (obv. german) or "Trader's Place" and "Smartbroker+" . They mostly use smaller exchanges for the transactions. This possibly affects the spread and maybe also liquidity. Don't know much about that though, just that these different brokers use specific smaller exchanges like Gettex (Munich) or LS Exchange by Lang & Schwarz (Hamburg) or Tradegate (Berlin).
They are all very similar with slight differences.

(Only found in german, sorry, don't know if they serve other EU customers)

In regards to trading they are basically cheaper because if +500€ volume there's no commission/fee (with Trade Rep still 1€ fee), but also only with "Gettex".

But I don't know about those broker's performance.

See >>60872277
about spreads. Broker's somehow get the money either way, be it commission, fee or spread.
>>
>>60872236
Your only real options as a europeon are IBKR and trading212. I'm aware of Degiro too but for some reason I keep depicting it as a babby's first broker where redditors buy nothing but vwce and vuaa on their 4-digit accounts.
Stay away from your local bank's trading platform and other swindlers like swissquote, saxo, etoro etc that fleece you on spread/fees.
Trading212 passes off as one of the aforementioned at first glance but it's quite solid. If you can't be bothered with IBKR maybe go with them.

they finally moved on from the TACO TACO TACO meme spam because the court case is challenging them

Btw, tuesday nothing will happen. The tariffs are still in place til october, ordered by the court.

>Trump's tariffs were ruled mostly illegal by a divided US appeals court, but will stay in place through mid-October to give the administration time to approach the Supreme Court https://reut.rs/3UOSwlo

Now all companies have to figure if they'll wait til October with purchases etc.
>>
>>60872408
Well the important part is that they changed the rules. So you can't just block everything with an appeal. It can be challenged by the Supreme Court and contested and until it's proven it's not just automatically removing the tariffs

My dad taught me about stocks when I was 11, he told me he built our house using money made from stocks. When I bought my first stock in 2013 it had to be under my mom's name because I didn't have an account. I bought Apple and held on to it for over a decade, handily beating the index.
I think kids are naturally lucky. Also people who learn something when they are kids will always be naturally better at it than those who learn it later in life.

Unfortunately I don't think my dad has owned any stocks for the past 10-15 years, he got bummed during the GFC and the European crisis that followed.

They'll sure act different when they know their counterparty is from the Trump family-empire (which he didn't build).
All his "negotiations" come from a position of given power, a power he always had compared to a nobody/noname. He's a shit negotiator himself, it all comes from the money and power in the back. Without all that he'd be in the WWE maybe.

her work is literally all about racial inequality, and the papers frequently make up data and don't actually quote anything

Her biggest accomplishment was the "patents are racist against blacks" has a massive issue in that patents don't actually include the race of the applicant or the gender. It's completely blind.

>its bankrupting France
and Italy
and Spain
and it already bankrupted (literally) Greece

>>60873419
True, but it's not even working well enough for Germany either now
If the AfD comes to power get ready to see the end of the euro, it's the only way
>>
>>60872798
this idea of a shared currency between nations is absolutely terrible lol
I have no idea why Europe tries to larp as a single country

I've heard stories of people that said their grandma didn't know anymore who they are in the span of 6 months.

>True, but it's not even working well enough for Germany either now
I agree but when push comes to shove the ECB serves Germany
It's laughable how little they give a shit about the ongoing french debt crisis even though it could end the euro, France isn't Greece, no one can save France without massive amounts of money printing or an IMF dollar denominated debt trap loan by the americans
>>
Nah they're going to lower rates or print money for the army reform and maybe even the housing problem, the ideal rate exchange for euro is between 1.05 and 1.1 $ according to the European central bank and it's at 1.17 now
>>
>>60873793
European elites and their institutions do (due to WWII ptsd) but the actual people are very aware that they're different ethnocultural entities with different interests
>>
>>60873803
>and maybe even the housing problem
printing money won't solve the housing problem, it will make it worse

Yeah this is a fact
>even though it could end the euro
I fucking wish, no politician in France has the balls to pull the trigger though.
I might happen only if it becomes a generalized EU crisis
>IMF dollar denominated debt trap loan by the americans
Yeah could be, US would be super happy to have even more control on the EU.

>>60873803
They will definitely try but not all problems can be solved by printing more money.
Also Germans are absolutely anal about inflation so current government will get fire for it, which will just accelerate AfD even more.

btw, another big problem that will explode in the EU and Germany in particular are all the automakers getting absolutely DESTROYED by far cheaper Chinese cars.
There's a reason why the big groups CEOs are sailing ships now.

I live in Spain. We have the best food and climate. Burgers and other creatures of assorted far soil try to escape their cuntries whenever they have some free time. McDonalds in Spain have top tier quality meat compared to USA. I have actually tested it. Their fish are filled with plastic caps while they cope with memes. Anything else is fake. GDP is inflated. Wages are inflated. The fiat isn't real. AI is a meme. We have laws and we can sue fag7 companies and actually win unlike in the land of the free (to get cucked by corporations). Things may be bad, but it's worse for others. Stop being a demoralized faglord.

You're too young to remember when national currencies were attacked, zoomer. Literal currency wars, and ones that couldn't be won. Euro has its problems, but believe me you don't want to live with a currency that is weak by structure that WILL get attacked.
Basically bankrupted the UK, and led to the IMF intervention.
